I don't know if DotA was a good idea considering that the large majority of the people playing were not familiar with the game. Better to play that as a group to learn first then add it on later in the game night thingamabob. I don't know if it lends itself well as a fuck around game unless everyone knows what is going on/what everyone is doing. I know there can be fun pubstomp stuff like in LoL as well. Everyone getting a dagon as first item(maxing it first) or divine rapier rushes. Still, I feel things like that require some knowledge of what is going on in the game. In that aspect, I think LoL is more interesting. Most of us know at least the very basics of LoL I would guess. There are a few things we can do with it as well. For example, grouping up as 5 and everyone going ultimate bravery mode(I'm not even sure if this is the correct site for it) or everyone building the same items. I think it would make things a lot more smoother as well. And if all else fails, we can just play ARAM(with or without ultimate bravery). I have no idea about PoE. People on the TS were stating that there is a 4 party limit. This kinda puts a damper on things. I also don't want to install it since I'm not too sure if people will continue with this theme every friday or it will be a rare occurrence to have PoE I'll keep these suggestions from before: SC2 arcade is free(although I think most people here own SC:WoL so there's no need to download arcade, but it's there for people who don't have it). Custom maps/scenarios are available and playable using it. There is a version of uther party on the arcade(raynor party), and tower defense games will never lose their flavor as far as I'm concerned. Board games/multiplayer party games are pretty easy to find online as well: Tetris, whatever other game online that's multiplayer. I joined a bit late, but that's my thoughts on today. I had fun, but thought dota2 was a bit of a downer after the hilarity of most people(including myself) not being familiar with the DotA 2 client/DotA 2 passed. + Show Spoiler + I wrote too much gg | ||

 After some experimenting Halo is actually really annoying to install from free DL sites. It comes bunched with adware and shit. | ||

Should I craft Sylvanas or Baine? Plan to use either one of of them in all three of my decks (Druid/Pally control, Shaman control-ish). Or is there any other legendary I should craft that would be more essential for those 3 decks (already have a Rag). | ||

Cairne I think would be more consistent but I think the choice comes down to preference otherwise. *shrug* | ||

Agree with ketchup.. dota is just too hard to grasp intuitively for a goof off game with a wide spectrum of skill. PoE was a little bit of a damper. It was cool and all when i played for the little bit i did with the group but you could feel it really kill the momentum of the night. I thought LoL 5s and aram went really well, plenty of smack talk. tf2 was simple enough. I would like to do some of the quality UMS games on sc2 and wc3 next time. there's rarely a huge knowledge burden and a lot of them are meant for groups our size. Also scip is hilarous  | ||
