In a few words...
My name is Daniel (a.k.a. Silfurstar), and I'm a 29 years old school teacher from Switzerland, trying to get decent at League of Legends, which as of now proved to be unsuccessful. I played under the name saintvirtuous for a couple of months as well, but now went back to my usual gaming handle. You might remember me from a thread on the EU forums presenting my adaptation of League of Legends as a game for the physical education class, which my students still enjoy playing to this day. Or maybe you remember my participation to the "real life bars" contest that Ymir launched a couple of months back, on the EU forums as well. This was my submission (again involving my awesome students) :
What's this about ?
I started playing League of Legends in late August 2011, and I'm currently a 1400 ELO player, working to improve my game, one mistake at a time ! I'll be streaming my games consistently to entertain, get pointers from other players and improve my overall League experience. I'll try to comment my plays as much as I can (good or bad), and provide my viewers with a selection of good music (at least to my ears). Don't hesitate to add me, come in the Silfurstream chatroom on EUW, or on the IRC chat (under the solomid stream). I'm also always glad to get some viewers in our games, so drop me a line in game if you'd like to join the fun.

FAQ What do you teach ? - I'm a primary school teacher (my students are 11-12yo for reference), which in Switzerland means that I teach every subject to a single group of children during 2 years in a row. Then I get a new class for a new cycle.
What are your computer specs and gaming gear ? - i7-2700K, 16gb ram, GTX 580, ssd 128gb, hd 2tb, 100mb fiber bandwidth - Das Keyboard Ultimate, Razer Mamba 2012 (with mouse bungee), Razer Scarab mousepad, Steelseries Siberia v2 headphones - Streaming in 720p, very high quality graphics, ~150-200fps
What's that plush elephant behind you ? - Well, that's a story that would take me about 29 years to tell !
What kind of music do you play on stream ? - I'm trying to get as many differents bands and albums as I can, handpicked before each streaming session or randomly chosen by Pandora. My current favorite genres are post-rock and post-hardcore, but there's much more than just that to be heard on my stream.

I do play in colorblind mode indeed. Just because I find it more beautiful. Might just be the fact that it's other colors, the change makes it look nicer. I don't know.
Steam's on for the next 5 hours ! There will probably be a dinner break in the middle, but otherwise, hope to provide another evening of fun games... Still training hard to get better on every lane.
