To me, the peak occurs at where the top talents peak, and there still exists plenty of money to be made in the scene. More mediocre players in an inflated player pool means nothing to me. You double the little league and minor league of baseball, that doesn't mean there's any more Ohtanis, Harpers, and Judge.

And when did the top talent peak in sc2? Certainly not now where only 2 out of the all time best 10 players are left as top competitors according to Miz' list (I know Rogue and soO are technically back again but not really)

Even on an absolute scale I don't think the average player is better then let's say 5 years ago. Serral is, but Dark for example was clearly playing better 5 years ago and he thinks that too

Mostly the Younger Players are, the older ones have age showing.

So 3 players (arguably 2 as Reynor is struggling right now).
Doesn't warrant the thesis "the top talent is peaking right now" imo

Showtime played the basetrade way better though. He was against a terran with an insanely better army and it came down to 2 marauders vs 3 stalkers and probes.

just make sc2 TWO races game and GG. Protoss is way weaker, players need 20+% better skill to win. Clem should've never win game3, absolutely never! disgrace.

The type of game that herO playing, Clem practices against that hunderds if not thousands of time against MaxPax, who is better than herO at that. 3 games in a row herO made no Storm, no Stargate transition and just rely on the Disruptor hit to deal damage is a very naive gameplan.
