One of Sc2s biggest design issues has always been that you need air units to counter tier 3 and it's always pretty lame. In vT matchup they tried to reduce the severity of this by buffing Thors vs tier 3 air. However, the role of the thor and viking should have been reversed from the start with vikings being a counter to lighter/more mobile tier 2 air and thors to heavy air. Similarly the other races should have strong ground counters to tier 3 air. | ||

Put anyone else in that game 5 (except maybe Dark) and they would've overcommitted on the follow up to a subpar fungal or failed to capitalize on one that was just good enough to profit from. Playing correctly after the fungal hits is just as important as landing it in the first place | ||
