One doesn’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to have issues with some strange decisions here and there.
To take one example, I’ve never remotely liked giving 1 slot for the World finals from each of the two concluded Dreamhack Masters globals, and 4 for this one.
Having an identical tier of tournament, where the ones we know the results for before deciding qualifying standards, and give different numbers of qualifying spots isn’t necessarily going to be abused, but the actual option is clearly there.
I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen too much complaining outside of me.
I don’t know if it’ll work out this way, but it’s hypothetically possible. A player above another in EPT points with a Dreamhack Top 4 placement, could be displaced by that other person if they get a top 4 Dreamhack placement.

Clem took a while to get going but then went monster mode. Always a pleasure to watch him when he takes flight, but does feel a little more ‘meh’ than usual with a ping-hampered Reynor and Serral not even present.

It's not a conspiracy to say many of ESLs decisions tend to favor EU players particularly Serral and Reynor. Saying they are doing it on purpose out of bias would be a conspiracy but pointing out that it's happened is just fact.

Last time was 2014 WCS Europe Season 3 with MMA vs Yoda in the final. Last and only region-locked EU final with no zergs was Sjow vs WhiteRa in January 2011 at the IEM Season V EU Championship. Europeans love their zergs.
Edit: Serral has been in EU finals since 2017, 2015 and 2016 didn't really have regionals, and the rest were filled by top EU zergs Stephano, Vortix, Nerchio, Namshar, SortOf, Elazer, Snute.

Trigger never got really close to it in the previous seasons, (best case was 3rd in Winter), so today, the planets are aligned, I hope he grabs the opportunity with both hands
As for Clem, no Serral and Reynor unable to play at 100 percents puts ofc an asterisk to it, but as a viewer I don't feel I lost too much in the process. Harstem got close to the perfect run, Lambo going earlier than I'd expected, etc. enough storylines that I was entertained enough

I dunno. Going to university or med school or something is probably a better decision than grinding another year to possibly-maybe win a small, NA specific event or two. =/
I don't want to be too harsh, but he's absolutely underperformed relative to the other people on Basilisk and if they want to add a Protoss player to their roster for 2025, I'm sure some of the GSL Koreans (Stats?) or EU tosses may be looking for teams. I dunno.

Was a fun season overall, taking the most convoluted route to arrive at the same conclusion in every region.
Would have enjoyed an upset in at least one, but still good to see other players besides the favorites make some progress toward the title.

Will be interesting to see who get the 2 slots based on Combined Standing, possibly Serral and Dark if they can travel there. Btw, if Serral show up for the event, does he get the top seed due to EPT ranking, or would he get the lower seed because he didnt qualify though the Regional tournaments?

They both have to go through the open breaket
If you were talking about the Saudi World Games thing, they both are already qualified for that one

There are 2 slot into Winner Bracket base on EPT points ranking.

Coffee already declining his slot is a bit sad. Did the think he wouldn't get a visa soon enough or is anything else known why he declined?
