Rogue is my all time GOAT 
Just because a tournament offers more money doesn't mean it looks better on your resume though, look at WESG and its 32-player pool where like only 4 or 5 are good

additionally to the more competitive era Maru also managed to win when Terran was shit while Rogue mostly had favorable balance on his side

Also if Rogue wins this GSL I think it's at least arguable which is more impressive: 4 GSLs in a row or 4 GSLS over a longer period of time. Probably the former but not by much.

yeah that one is a fair point, but riding the advantages your race gives you is not something every player has been able to do. I can see why one would diminish Rogue's achievements because of that, but for me it's not decisive in my appreciation of Rogue's palmares

obviously metagame knowledge will pretty much always increase over time, but competitiveness is about how many people are putting in how much effort and talent into the game
in that sense the Proleague days were the peak
