As always, my tournaments are cast on my Twitch channel us CreightonOlsen. For the Group Stages of the event, I'll be splitting the games with ca Steadfast to make sure we don't miss any of the 40 group stage matches! Are you a caster interested in joining me to co-cast? Contact me on Discord (CreightonOlsen#0001) for more details.
  • French cast of the Group Stage and SE Bracket stage will be provided by fr OGaming
  • Polish cast will be provided by pl Indy
  • Russian cast will be provided by ru gL1de
  • Spanish casts will be provided by mx Enki
Additional international broadcast partners are encouraged to contact me directly on Discord for broadcast rights in your language. This post will be updated as foreign-language casts are added.

For Charity:
This tournament has been made possible through several generous donations from Starcraft 2 fans. However, any Matcherino funds raised in excess of our $1,500 prize pool will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). I disagree but whatev, his performance was quite well here but for my taste his style is way to abusive on certain stuff (kinda a mashup of sOs and parting but i don't feel the flair).

My fav player was herO for protoss race and I like how MaxPax is also over aggressive and risky, always on the edge between win and loss.

Maybe but those players were all more interesting to me than "let me do proxy battery stuff 4 times in a row because that shit is broken".

Man, Maxpax was inventing builds on ladder when he was one unknown 14 yo player.
His first recorded game on Aligulac is just one year and half old and he is still 16; he definitely is not just an abusive cheeser and for sure we haven't seen the best of him yet.

Not sure if you realized how scary Clem is at the moment and how often MaxPax is beating him with less cheesy strategies.
If you look at MaxPax and you only see abusive strats, I'd say the fault is yours.

It's also on Clem to manage to defend that. Like in the World Team League where Nice did that kind of thing and won the game. It's not the first time he loses to similar proxies.

EDIT : He has shown in the past that defending that is possible. ESL Open Cup 54 Europe finals vs him, that worked once, twice, but not trice. So the theoritical book is already there - it's then mostly a matter of micro and timings.
I'm just a cynical video game enjoyer who is probably unfazed by many business dealings many would find utterly distasteful, while not strictly illegal by the law as seen in a general sense in the world.

Clem was too aggressive for his own good, throwing down the 2nd CC before knowing if a rush was coming. And then he had to keep the new CC in the main without any good use. Also, in the game against Tempest rush, there was no Magfield upgrade for Cyclone is a head-scratching move as well.

I'm a huge Clem fan, but really, there no such thing as a 'cheesy win'. A win is a win and MaxPax deserved it and Clem knows it

I'm almost glad that a EU toss is able pull a win over Clem, now that no zerg is able to do so atm

Well, before that loss Clem won the last 14 BOs against MaxPax

But I agree that MaxPax is a lot more than abusive player
