I think Skillous can take a map or two. There hasn't been that many sweeps all tournament long.

Is Gabe just easy to prepare for? Clem performs much better at Dreamhack tournaments while Heromarine is doing much better at the ESL weekly cups.

Cmon Gabe win the series!

He seems easier to prepare for but he's also better than Clem, that should cancel out

Eh, cant agree with saying Gabe is better than Clem. Clem is a lot better in TvZ and also has a better TvP while Gabe is just stronger in TvT hence he wins most of their last clashes and hence the esl cups. In tournaments like these though, Clem just shows hes the better player

I think he was missing an "if" there then his sentence kind of makes sense. Also not entirely true, Clem lost like 3 of the recent ESL weekly cups to a Protoss that Heromarine beat afterwards.

Heromarine is definitely easier to prepare for since the vast majority of his games are just standard. Not that Clem does anything crazy in terms of strategy, mind you. But he has the potential for like brilliant micro moments and such you won't really get from Gabe.

Obviously Clem is better in TvZ. I never found his TvP very impressive. Heromarine very often looks like he has control on what's happening in the match-up, Clem seems lost sometimes when his starting plan doesn't function. I also have the impression that he loses more often when he has the advantage, against like a zealot prism or something, but maybe that's just my memory playing tricks.

I haven't seen Gabe's game 1 build work since earlier this year.

Gabe had a better result last DH Finals.

That's not what I remember nor what I read on Liquipedia. They were close though.

Clem was better in the regional event and Gabe in the Masters. This makes sense if you think about it because the idea that Gabe would have sufficient space playing in a single region is absurd.

I would say the one thing Heromarine is better at in TvP is sheer consistency with pretty much never losing against other eu tosses than showtime (although ignore this current dreamhack ehem) Although v showtime Heromarine is 4-7 this year whille Clem is 12-5 (!) in 2020. Also its pretty impressive to see Clem play and win against some of the best Korean tosses the last few months while Gabes record is absolutely abysmal v Korean tosses. But then again, clem is pretty young and once he gets morre consistent this shouldnt even be a debate

Really the main feeling that I get, and this speaks to the point about consistency that you brought up, is this: when I see the 12 probes lost to widow mines in the early game that we just had, if it's Heromarine he's going to win 90% of the time. Clem, more like 70% or something.

Aiai Skilllous this one must hurt. One more forcefield and it would be the easiest win. Also pulling the collossi back would of been enough, painful

Even that game was closer than expected considering how much of a lead Heromarine got out of the early game. Skillous played pretty well after losing all those probes--he made the necessary plays even if his execution wasn't perfect.

The skin Skillous is shown with looks honestly ridiculous, even if I saw it a couple of times on ladder.
