We all know who the king of StarCraft is right now, with Serral cementing himself as the best player of 2018 and, potentially, the best foreigner of all-time. But who is the best caster in StarCraft in 2018? If that question has been bugging you, we have a Christmas surprise for you!
QLASH, ToD and Matcherino are pleased to bring you the QLASH Casters Invitational, a tournament series. Starting on December 21st, some of your favorite casters will go head to head in a GSL style Christmas DEATHMATCH. With live finals at the QLASH house in Italy, this tournament is sure to get heated!
We’re not just putting prestige on the line here, because it wouldn't be the Holiday Season without a heaping of consumerism. Matcherino will be creating a prize pool campaign featuring a ton of amazing items with exclusive artwork by the beloved Nicolas Chaussois. Don’t know what gift to get your mom? We'll have mugs for that hot chocolate, sweaters for those cold days, and even exclusive in-game portraits (Starting December 18th for a limited time!) -with the majority of all sales going to the prize pool and the casters, there are tons of ways to support your favorite scene and streamers.
So grab your laptop, cozy up to a fire and listen to ToD, Harstem and Lambo’s soothing voices as they describe the terrible terrible damage that you’re about to witness. Ho-ho-ho!
Small suggestion, remember to mention the size of the mug (like 3,5 dl etc.) I was actually on QLASH website some days ago considering ordering a couple of mugs, but decided against it since I didn't know if the mugs would be too small or not.

Glad you're excited! The mugs are actually going to be event themed and sold on the Matcherino store in order to boost the prize pool, though
hey Rouch, thanks for the suggestion and feedback. As Jambon mentioned the mugs are going to be specifically themed for the event - as for the ones in our shop, they are standard sized as any you would buy in a souvenir shop (sorry I can't tell you the specific DL). Let's not get this off topic though! Glad to be part of this event!
Someone else raised this point on Twitter and I thought it was worth repeating: Why wasn't Rifkin invited? He is a prolific caster. Was he invited and declined? Interesting.

The portraits are available through the Matcherino page. The individual portraits are $5 where $2 goes to the prizepool and $1.50 goes to the caster. The whole set is $30.

Tod can do it, he just needs to do it on team liquid, theres a button top left next to inbox and subscribed threads, you clcik that other button and you can link your stream to events
ZG did better than I expected, I wonder if she's GM now? Definitely the most interesting group with group D with Lowko having a shot. The other two group should be pretty straight forward (I mean what is JimRising suppose to do against Feardragon and Wardi)

Lowko is like 1k MMR below Rotti and Indy though.
Lol ok nvm, is the Russian guy good? Edit: Ukrainian, well that's an embarrassing typo.... I know Funka is at least Master but I don't think he's GM.
We have restructured our Twitch channels and the finals will not be streamed on QLASH_ENG channel as previously announced.
The main channel of the live finals will be Twitch.TV/QLASH_StarCraft2.
We have done this change so we can concentrate more on SC2 and create even more events in the future. We would really appreciate if someone can fix the official stream link in the Liquipedia page of the tourney.

An important update for the QLASH Casters Invitational live finals.
Unfortunately, JimRising will not be able to travel to the QLASH House for personal reasons and is dropping out of the tournament. We would like to note that this is his personal decision.
After some consultation we have decided to go forward with replacing him with YoGo as he is the player that was eliminated by JimRising in the Ro8.
We hope that the finals will be just as fun and hope you will all join us!
