I keep running this through my head. Why would Dark pick Gumiho? Why does he keep creating all those groups of deaths to screw himself over?
Why, Dark, why? Dark does this every season, I'm not sure why anyone is surprised when he picks stupidly hard groups

Exactly. Even if Dark was confident in his TvsZ, just pick Keen instead of Gumiho!
Dark 100% deserves this. It was good for him to lose because he does this to himself. How can you be a top player "inside" the game but "outside" the game, you make stupid decisions that sabotage your own tournament results?

Why, Dark, why? Probably because he thinks he's superior (Dark always is pretty confident, so much that it often can be seen as arrogant) so he just picked him for fun or because he doesn't like him (they didn't shake hands after all).

Btw the match between Maru and Gumiho will be postponed, right? Because Maru will play Asian Games.

It's so weird. He is a pro gamer. Him getting further in tournaments means he gets more money, more prestige, and even more sponsor interest!
Dark doesn't have a sponsor now. He doesn't get as far in the GSL, given his skill level. He keeps sabotaging his own career.

Dark would do much better in GSL if he never got first pick in groups selections. All three times he's had it he's lost to whoever he picks.

Because he doesn't pick the weakest player available. He goes and picks some of the hardest players to beat.
Maybe he is rich, I dunno. But even if Dark is rich and doesn't need the money, since he is a pro SC2 player, wouldn't he want to get further in the GSL and eventually win one?

Dark's hubris screws him out of another GSL lol

Maru did beat Gumiho 2-0 in Ro16 of GSL S1. Keen almost beat him though if it wasn't proxy reapers lol. So Gumi being the TvT god that he is, has a real good possibility of knocking Maru out. And if Maru has one matchup that can be considered his weakest, it's TvT.
