2018 marks the return of the Midwest Cup! The Midwest Cup is an online tournament for all Midwesterners to participate and compete in; a little like a simulated “regional” event.

Base prize pot: $100
1st place - 50%
2nd place - 30%
3rd place -12.5%
4th place - 7.5%

- Double elimination with seeding by ladder rank
- Registration closes at 05:00 GMT (+00:00) the Saturday before tournament day, with the bracket being finalised after players have checked in on Sunday
- The map pool will be the current Battle.net 1v1 ladder maps at the time of tournament
- All games are best of 3, except the grand finals which are best of 7, winner bracket player with a 1-game advantage
- All leagues are accepted and encouraged!

The entire tournament will be played on Sunday, February 18th. Duration is highly dependent on the number of players that sign up to participate.

All players must live in the Midwest. To verify this, you’ll need to get a picture of your driver’s license (or other government-issued photo ID) and black out the personal information except for your picture, first name, and state. Include that picture in your registration, either as a link or by email. For an example of a good picture that proves residency, check out my lovely mugshot: http://imgur.com/Vq9rzTb
Please note that we will never distribute your proof of residence information; we will even make sure your name and state is kept private if you prefer.
