EPTByuN did seem a little off against Elazer, but he played great in IEM Shanghai, so my issue is that I'm not sure if Serral can replicate the ingenuity that worked for Elazer (the ling counterattack in g1, a lot of the early game stuff to hold off the pushes until, y'know, 78/200) and he'll probably die trying to play 'standard' and just getting out-mechanic'd.

What ingenuiny, the fuck? ByuN just played like poop on Abyssal and then stepped up and broke the foreigner in half. There's no way around that. He will do the same to Serral here. You can't play around "mechanics" nowadays, it's not 2011. And especially not in ZvT where macro, multitasking and unit control is everything. | ||

Elazer played much better on Abyssal than you're giving him credit for, and the next two maps were largely lost not because of some craziness by ByuN but instead because of some pretty terrible macro mistakes by Elazer that stopped him from having enough units. My argument is that Serral will be unable to put himself in a good enough position to capitalize on ByuN's pushes, the way Elazer did on Abyssal, and will instead largely engage ByuN a lot more- which probably won't work because ByuN is a much better mechanical player than he is. | ||
