How many times in WoL and HotS have we seen potential upsets get thrown because players went 'full foreigner' as they got nervous when ahead in a game vs a good korean player. Stephano was so good because he didn't give a fuck about his opponent I still think that foreign players will have a very hard time against korean terrans, and that if the game were to be well designed, they would stand no chance ever. But yeah nowadays with the sponsors dropping and stuff koreans are at an all time low so it's almost easy to beat them, especially in matchups such as PvP. This further enhances the point that WoL beginning was the most competitive Korean era. Kespa era wasn't as tough.

Kespa era wasn't as tough. koreans kept training together while they were steadily declining and the infrastructures disappearing, so they ended up all getting worse except for some lone wolves like ByuN and the most gifted like Dark. Same thing happened in chess honestly when soviet chess collapsed. Who would have thought that chess would nowadays be dominated by a norwegian, a french, an italian and an american ?
