ME too. We need NesTea back to show us the way.

I don't think such thing should be taken lightly and to joke about tbh

Also I agree with Elentos, even if ByuN was not doing it for money, if in any way you are manipulating the outcome of the match, according to Blizzard and KeSPA, it's already matchfixing, and they are not going to let those thing off lightly, so don't throw such accusation around, such things shouldn't be taken lightly

I don't approve of match fixing but let's not exaggerate. Also, match fixing is real and here to stay, making it taboo to joke about doesn't make it go away.

So Losira is the final hope to avoid a Zerg extermination in the RO32. Has that ever happened for any race in a Korean league? I think the closest I can recall is only Sangho advancing to RO16 for Protoss one time.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Dark and Solar are already in the round of 16 groups (there's no ro32).

So far you're the only one making jokes about it and nobody told you to stop yet. So you're golden. Rejoice!

On the contrary. It's not meant to be patronizing at all, it's a joke post with no serious message. Now it's actually like you making a joke about Armani match-fixing and people taking you seriously.

Though if you did feel patronized, well, I apologize of course.

I did not feel patronized, just disappointment. Hard to see the joke if at all but if you say so I accept of course

Honestly it might just be that this particular post was especially crappy because I've not had a great day and am not feeling too well. Sorry about that.

I still wish Impact or Rogue got through the group, we could use a new Zerg banjo.

I don't like these "jokes" about matchfixing either. As a casual viewer I get a distasteful feeling when I'm reminded of it. I was having fun reading the discussions about the matches, then suddenly it's such a downer reading these suspicions about Byun.

There were no jokes about that in the thread, just a discussion iirc

Mostly it was said at some point that ByuN might not be playing the final game against Dear seriously because they're friends and he's already qualified and then it was kind of implied that he might be losing on purpose/purposely holding back. So not really jokes. Although really nothing dead serious either, just a bit annoying.

Np, it's hard to make yourself perfectly understood in text, but more importantly, in just a few sentences. As is always properly understanding other peoples posts as well. This whole joking about match fixing thing is a good example, It's not coming across as I want it at all lol

I should just stop posting about it

I didn't mind people discussing the possibility but some said to be certain of it. I replied (Diabolique) to point him to another option. It is a weakness of this, for the most part, refreshing format

I highly doubt Byun would do that AGAIN after what happened between him and Coca years ago.

It would be a very interesting level of stupid, I'd say. Neither of them had it easy after that.

I really don't get the reaction to this. It's like you think admitting that this situation looks the way it looks is admitting that Byun is disgusting or something. It's not at all. It's very logical for him to lose this game.

There are plenty of situations where that happens and you don't blink an eye. Bratok and Stephano trying to lose to avoid whoever they had to avoid in whichever tournament that was. They were trying to lose, because they had incentive to. It's like when there was this WCS where three euro zergs won their groups and two korean terrans and Welmu finished second, and we were wondering if San would try to finish second in his group to play PvZ vs an european or not. The question could be asked because San had incentive to lose (he didn't, and lucked Welmu in the Ro8 draw). Let's say that Byun is playing Tangtang and if he loses, Zest finishes 4th and Tangtang finishes 3rd. Do you think he should try to win? He clearly has incentive to lose.

In all of these situations, you recognize the incentive, and you don't say that if it's proven the people should be thrown in kespa jail. Now you have this situation where the incentive is just as evident as long as they are friends and probably future team mates, and suddenly Byun would be a terrible person to do it, or even worse, stupid or whatever. That makes no sense.
