Hopefully that Dear prepared his TvP well enough... He just needs to get his TvP polished up and he can compete with Zest for the title of best Protoss in the semis

It's fun to hype the stopped upgrades, but I don't think it was that much of a factor in the game. TY just outpositioned him hard in the cat and moue game. Also, upgrades don't change how useless disruptors are.

I'd have to agree. I think if he'd stop doing his gimmick / all in playstyle, he'd be a serious contender as a strong, macro focused protoss. He probably isnt confident enough to play the long game without trying to do that early damage though, which is more a mindset issue as opposed to his raw skills / talent.

I don't understand why KR''s are trying to make disruptors work so much right now. I think storm is definitely a more reliable "burst aoe" in terms of supply and cost, and collosus are better for more sustained, poke-focused AOE compositions. The disruptor, with its 20 second cooldown, fills no real role IMO except clearing up widow mines and lurkers (and pretty much all of PvP)

says the race which has a fking seige unit that denies almost all mining unless you have queens/spores for zerg, and you kinda need air units as toss. We all have these units, stop comparing and play better

He scouted half the map for proxies, didn't find it so made a 3rd CC. He basically did the same opening in the next 2 games and had no issues handling anything. The build is pretty safe if you scout what's going on.

He dragged the game out, made ravens instead of ghosts, then had the chance to snipe storm but let the templar archives live for no reason. In the end Dear's lategame army was too much because TY lost all his economy.

1- a nexus is only 400 minerals, drops are much more expensive, so the trades are not always that good
2- the first big engagement in the center after Dear got storm, TY loses tons of army and Dear almost nothing, from this point on, he's always ahead in army supply.

I love phoenix PvT play. You can shut down the liberator harass, defend drops, and afford less stalkers because the phoenix can deal with medvacs and liberators in the main fight.

Cheese is not that good against Protoss. TY tried cheesing Jieshi in Kung Fu Cup and it didn't work. If you can't cheese Chinese Protosses, don't try to cheese MyuNgSiK.
