Not sure about seeding but WCS points gets you invites to Spring/Summer Championships

Both are great players, both deserve it. Anyone of them really deserves to go to BlizzCon. And I do not mean to be stomped by the real Koreans. Both cpt. America and Snute will be able to show good games against Koreans, cpt. America can even win against any top player. And I am sure, this will be a very entertaining series, finally no ZvZ ... Who are you and what have you done to Diabolique? :-P That does not change my mind about the welfare system :-) But I believe, Polt belongs to BlizzCon and if one single foreigner belongs there, it is Snute, even in the normal system. I've always thought Snute is the only foreigner who could perform at Blizzcon, so the chance to see him there is really exciting. Gogo TL! even if he doesn't win his chances to be in the top 5 except champions will be quite high with that performance right ? Exactly, this is the great thing! I believe, both Polt with Snute will manage to get to BlizzCon, either as a winner, or with the WCS points ...

He can't order the whole audience a free pizza this time

That was a great series by Snute, and game 4 was amazing. I'm so happy for Snute and Polt to face off, great storyline. I do see Polt winning it but honestly its been a good enough IEM that I'm happy whoever wins.

I think even if you play patient and defensive Polt can get you in the late game. It's not like he's a one-trick pony, he can use everything and his late game is really good.

I just hope Snute won't get the jitters and get steamrolled

That would be very useful actually. Not having to go through qualifiers is a great advantage.

It's really amazing how much Mike Morhaime loves Starcraft. The scene might look really different if he didn't.

Dont polt and Hydra get the same type of practice environment as everyone else in wcs ? Or are they super natural because they are koreans? Years of training and experience just doesn't disappear because you suddenly play on a different server. It would certainly lead to a marked decline
Yes, but you still have that head start, which as is being demonstrated over and over again, is rather significant.

Especially his "I care a lot about this game" sentence. yeah so genuine and emotional are you guys being serious? i mean i'm sure he does care a lot about the game, but i was actually just thinking he doesn't seem to show any emotion at all, very stoic guy in interviews. kind of diffuses the stereotypes when you have Polt and Snute. yes, Snute usually keeps to himself very good but this time he laughed and was very emotional You just have to think what this performance means to him.
Not to take anything away from him, nor do I want to stir up shit again, but regarding the current WCS system what you call "performance" still invokes a picture of a few chained Koreans surrounded by foreigners being handed bats and other weapons by Blizzard employees in my mind
Still, this IEM has probably been the best western tournament so far, I just find it really hard to talk about performance when considering this specific competitive environment.
