Anyway, it is great, we do not have another ZvZ final ... At least, Hydra vs. Polt would be a great joke for the new WCS system, next year, they will need to ban also Koreigners. But I still hope for Snute ...

What I don't understand is why.
With his control, which is still top notch I believe, I mean he used to be at or nearly at Maru's level of micro, you can pick a standard build and scout/scan for a few key gas timings/tech choices and fairly reliably get to the stage of the game where MK does very well. It wouldn't take much...

Snute thought he was behind and that his best shot at winning was to max out with a low drone count so he would have more units than hydra. also afforded him more ravagers, so he wanted one very strong maxed out push, but hydra hit the 2-1 timing before snute maxed, so they were at even army supply instead of snute being ahead

Yeah that would help. But he also looks really rusty. Like, he used to be a high caliber pro but on his stream his play is pretty average. Weaker than most Korean Terrans I've seen stream LotV.

he also doesnt have any decision making so he would never play out a normal game like Maru does

yeah I think he wasn't really ahead, less supply so he was under threat of an attack and couldn't safely transition to lair/upgrades etc which in the end was the cause of his demise

the difference between Polt and MajOr is that Polt will go for the throat when he creates advantage and he will finish the Zerg off
Polt is also a lot more cost efficient than Major. Major usually goes "all in" on being able to get an economic lead through his harass whereas that isn't as necceasary for Polt as he has the skills to be a lot more cost efficient.
If you watch the FPV of both players, you will notice that Polt spends a lot more time managing his main army whereas it takes (too) low priority for Major.

I don't think he was ahead at all afterwards. He was 13 drones behind, had no upgrades and no lair. Getting an empty third base doesn't do nearly enough.
