Btw where are these people telling PvZ is ultra zerg favored, didn't seem to me when Drogo composition was destroying TLO's one or looking at the scores :x. I'm glad viOlet/Hydra didn't make it so people can see that 2 mid tier koreans are less likely to win than one of the 30 foreigners. | ||

That was at the beginning of LOTV because of bad statistic from untrustworthy sites with bad record. Now people are a little bit more mature and understand that balance is not bad overall after the koreans started playing and we have seen some tournaments Like when LOTV came out Protoss player died to Lurker because they ran into them with stalkers and now they just build Observer, Zealots, Archon and Immortal and Lurker are basically useless. Game is always evolving. Maybe in 2 month everyone says Terran is stronger than protoss. who knows, but I think recent results have clearly shown to all people that Zerg is actually quite weak in LOTV | ||

That's not how statistics work and not what these result shows. | ||

People do not tune in for a certain player or whatever, they tune in for the whole tournament or just Ro4 or the finals. | ||

He sure did some damage but even after that harass I think they were even in workers while Drogo had been building up Adepts to defend vs the Lings. So he just built a few more and counterattacked, and after that Bly was behind. | ||

Lol, apparently I wasn't clear enough. There were times he pulled his entire army back for ONE ZEALOT THAT WAS ATTACKING A BUILDING HATCH AND DIDN'T COME FROM A WARP PRISM. Obviously you have to split off more then a few units to deal with late game prisms warping in 12 zealots. But even then you don't need to pull the whole army over there. Here lemme try....man do you even play sc2, you realize 2 roaches will kill 1 zealot right? They even added hotkeys in lotv that make it easier to split off units. | ||

I did not see the finals, but overall I thought the tournament was really well paced and fun to watch. Since they don't broadcast every game and players are not on stage, maybe a loser bracket or another group stage would be really great/fair for players (eg: snute or marinelord not having to play almost only their worst MU). However the group stage-BO5-BO7 path was a great addition, dreamhacks always felt a bit too rushed even on Hots that had longer games. All in all I had a good time watching this dreamhack ! | ||

Hydra's aligulac rating is still inflated as heck from him reking worse players in HotS. He was like top 10 on aligulac before he lost to Bly which is completely absurd considering how Hydra has been playing in LotV (and yes viOlet's rating was really low). Drogo wasn't even in the top 5 to win I think and Bly neither. | ||
