I think they want koreans to try to come over here and teach us how to play starcraft, so that's probably why they allowed visas. Hydra is on ROOT, so I'm sure he helps.

I just argued with some idiot about this concept on Twitch chat. He was saying he believed simply being able to practice on KR server is why these guys are all so good. Honestly I think it is the different ideas and views from varying players of different races with different strategies in teamhouses that drive innovation and competition. Being able to play against the "best" is one thing, but then when you have these great minds behind you nitpicking and giving insight into what could've been done or the right response to a situation and THEN you have an environment that is really going to foster skill growth.

He lives with Polt still I believe, and I'm sure they theorycraft quite a bit.
Violet almost proves my point though. Regardless of how good violet looks right now he would get annihilated by the top tier Koreans training in Korean teamhouses.

Agreed. Its wrong to say "white people don't work as hard", but that is true in many specific cases. Just want to give credit for hard work, be it a korean (pretty much any kespa player, but guys like Violet too) or a foreigner that actually practice hard. The old discussion that the real problem is lack of infra structure since lack of working conditions (team house, salary, practice partners, good server) is not an excuse, its a legitimate reason to be demotivated and underperform. But we cannot use this as an excuse to take the credit away from those who deserve!

Hopefully Showtime makes the finals because to be frank I don't think any other foreigner that is left have chances vs Korean that makes the final.

It is very funny point at the moment. All hope that ShowTime/Bly/PtitDrogo/Uthermal win tournament but in end violet or Hydra gonna win but there is still hope now
Every tournament this happens.
If I could choose one foreigner I say ShoWtime please he has voice like TLO and seems nice guy

Masa isn't banned from the main event, just from the online qualifier that gives u free travel (which in his case is the only way e could afford to get there), its the same for the Koreans My point is that Masa's status is different from Hydra's and Violet's ----> he has permanent residency visa, the other two have only work visas. We can lock both hydra and Violet out, without hurting Masa. BTW:They will actually make a special "Masa rule" so he can attend online qualifiers in the future.
I think they want koreans to try to come over here and teach us how to play starcraft, so that's probably why they allowed visas. Hydra is on ROOT, so I'm sure he helps. I want Koreans to help us too, but allowing ALL of them to come (unless they don't want to) is the best solution. Will 2 koreans make a difference? we don't even know if they play ladder a lot.

Common sense 2016, starcraft edition is.

I so dislike the "white people" people are dropping, it's unrespectful to non white foreigners. The Chinese suck just as much as the rest of us. It's just the NATION of South Korea that is better than the rest.
