Stephano's smartest decision throughout his career was to never go to Korea at his peak. That way his fans will always be able to say he could have won GSL ^^

First half of 2012 he was. No I dont think Stephano could have gone to korea and done well in GSL He could have and in a sense he did as he went 2-2 in his Blizzard Cup group. First half of 2012 was the perfect time for him to go to Korea, it was at the same time that NaNiwa did his double Ro8. The player he beat weren't unbeatable at all for Stephano. He went to Korea a year later, after the KeSPA switch and after his peak. It was too late.

I felt like your results really improved overall after your stint with Coach Park. It's also a feature shown in other e-sports like LoL and CS:GO often times good coaches coming to new teams brings out the potential in a team's roster. There are good coaches in CS:GO? I don't think so (I've played over 2k hours and watched years of cs since 1.6) From my experience the only real good coaches I know of in esports are the Korean Broodwar Coaches and Some of the newer LoL coaches (also generally Korean.) Most of the lol coaches in lcs that I've seen seem a bit immature to be honest. Well maybe the coaches in CS:GO aren't "good", but I feel that having a good coach is more than just preparing strategies. NiP has a good new coach from 3dMax's former roster and I feel their results will improve heavily over the next 2 months. I'd say that the development of the team's in-game leader is a bigger factor than coaching though. ex6istence for Titan, JW and Pronax for Fnatic are great examples of that. But just look at the Proleague teams, JAGW and CJ's coaches are both from the same SKT1 breed and have developed their teams into consistent top 4 performers. Obviously there are many more issues as to why foreigners can't compete to the levels of koreans, but I think coaching could be one of the many ways they could start to bridge the gap.
I've watched a ton of esports and I don't think any coaches really compare to the Korean BW (and now Lol) coaches.
I don't want to be rude but you can't seriously compare some of the csgo analysts or managers. They just don't take the game very seriously in relative terms

Ehhh. It was. That was because the game hadn't matured yet. The later Naniwa/Scarlett/Snute accomplishments are more impressive than Mr 200/200 Roach into BL/Infestor (which isn't to say that Stephano was totally terrible) That's not counterargument. Besides, the game matured with stephano. He was both at korean skill level and innovated the game at the same time. Nah, not at all Hope I'm not talking to a Stephano anti-fan here Not really, no. I hate Stephano fans, not Stephano
I dislike Stephano but I still recognize that he was the best foreigner for a long period of time, and I think he is one of the very few foreigners (including Naniwa in GSL/ MLG legend killer!) who could actually go toe-to-toe with some of the best Koreans... and maybe Koreans were always favored, but Stephano and Naniwa were rarely automatically ruled out when they were at their peak. When Naniwa wrecked Mvp and Nestea back to back, it was really badass but it wasn't like a 99 to 1 chance it would happen.
