Cheeses and allins are too strong. I used to say the better player doesn't always win and then the answer was clear "it is also a sign of a better player to choose the right strategy". Yeah well true that but there are too many strong openers for toss that you can choose and still switch to macro (so not even really a allin/cheese) and that is what I hate about it: Can't prepare for everything as terran, and even if scouted somethimes the build order just outright kills you.
That (SC2 being so volatile) is IMO the reason why we don't see players dominating over a long period of time although being totally on top of their micro and macro.
However, since Parting is a great player he deserves it as well, I just wished he beat Maru in a macro game and not cheese, which I always consider cheap wins. And there is this Protoss Bullshit thread...
Oracle still should be redesigned. It makes too many kills too fast and it doesn't require that much micro compared to other harassement options (and not much of an investment compared to them).
On Marus side I question his decision making, as he must know in a macro game he wins against Parting, so why not go for a safer opening. But what is safer then reaper expand on the other side?
Since they won't fix many of the unit design problems (the game may be balanced but its unstable and volatile) with the addon, and even the slightest inbalances in pro play get really huge in lower levels (an easy to control but hard to defend against harass unit) the reason why so many people stopped playing and watchin sc2 is simply the frustration it gives you. None of us is Korean Pro Level and therefore things that already look imba on the streams and VODs really are imba at lower leagues.
I wished with the addon, the game gets more like BW again, where 1 misclick in a fight didn't end the game but you could regain lead with several well done other clicks and micro and such and you had the chance to come back in the game just by being better in mechanics.
Since the announcement of LOTV I cannot expect that sort of developement for SC2 anymore. So I guess I'll just wait for SC3 then, since there is no other RTS around (Grey Goo?) that is as good and fascinating as SC to me. Passionstone is NOT for you :D Hmm sorry I didn't get that what is it? Or do you mean my passion? In that case : you are right: I lost it in 2014, when almost every tournament was PvPvP and also the mentioned reason above... or it is just... because I am ill maybe and I am not passionate today I meant Hearthstone. Haha didn't know it had that other name Well no, I don't play cardgames or whatever that is. It just looks very boring to me
But thanks for reaffirming that this is no game for me

Hit the nail on the head. That was exactly the point I wanted to make.

There's no denying that Life is currently at the top.
Eh, if this were One Piece I'd put him Yonko level but he's not ready to be Pirate King (aka MVP) yet.

Hmm, I knew herO would make it out, but Maru losing? That in itself is one of the biggest upsets Starcraft2 has ever seen. Maru shouldn't be losing to anyone except for Life at this point in time. He is the 2nd best player in the world. But, I must admit, upsets do happen from time to time. Maru us known to slip up sometimes. Actually, I think his wrists are bothering him again. I guess that explains his loss against Parting.
And as for MC, I still think he does not care about this game anymore. If he did, he would have won. He should have went out 4-0 in first place. If MC needed the money, like all the other players in this group, he would have won... but the reality is that he doesn't need so he is playing for fun. He's playing for fun yet he still makes it through the most difficult GSL qualifier bracket and get a out of the most difficult GSL group in Starcraft2's history.
Oh well, now I can vote for Life to win.

Actually I think MMA as a good shot at the title. Considering bracket, my power rank would be :
1. Life 2. MMA 3. INnoVation 4. herO 5. Solar - PartinG 7. Rogue 8. TY

Yea, Innovation and Life fall off all the time. Rain is so consistent. hahaha Rain has never been Code B like Life was last year . i'm searching a tournament win in 2014, could you help me: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Rain_(Korean_Protoss)/Results Before Rain's disastrous RO16 group the other day he was still the best all around Protoss (due to herO's PvP weakness and sOs/Zest not making it to individual leagues). Regardless he's not in the Life & Inno bracket atm but he's been one of the best players of the last 2 years. If you just care about championships you can also say that soO hasn't been one of the best and most consistent players over the last year. And Maru also hasn't won anything in a while but has still been one of the best terrans and players as well. herO beat Rain in the only time they've met this year. How was rain best all around protoss over herO?
Losing a 4-3 series doesn't really say if one player is better than the other especially in a volatile matchup like PvP. Life also got outplayed by Rain recently but he's still the better player. Rain "had" been better across all matchups prior to that disaster earlier this week. In fact aligulac actually shows the change where herO just overtook him.
