So more tournaments = better players. Give me a fucking break. GSL is special, but it doesn't mean it isn't the highest level of starcraft in the world and deserves to be regarded and rewarded as such. You DO prove you are the best by doing well in GSL

it proves you are one of the bests at one point in time.

see previous GSL Champion Classic, where is he? should he be at Blizzcon only cause he won one time a tournament with good players?

blizzcon is about the players who played MANY tournaments and are consistently good in most of them.
if you attend only one tournament, you just prove that you were good in those 2 month where it happend

only cause kespa doesnt want to play the game like all the other teams, they shouldnt get rewarded..

other teams fly their players half around the world, that costs money, its hard for the players, thats professional gaming.

not training all year for these 4 days where you are in the GSL studio

I disagree. He's definitely not tier 1 anymore, but he's not only an entertainer.

He's not one of the best as in he's not one of the 16 best players in the world, and as such I don't want to see him at blizzcon. He's also not a top 5 protoss, and as such I'd like to see others invited over him instead. He's good, but not good enough to warrant all the freebies he's getting.

WCS points system works this way. I would like WCS KR to have a far heavier weigh (for instance, Bunny got more points in Gfinity than you'd get for a GSL ro8, which is outrageous, if you ask me the mere fact of entering code S should at least be worth 500 pts), but it's not MC's fault if the system is like that.

Making entering code S worth 500 points is completely ridiculous. That would put someone with 3 Code S ro64 be at the 23rd rank of the current system.

But people who live in korea are obviously better than everyone living somewhere else, of course they should get free points!

Are you seriously arguing Korea isn't orders of magnitude harder than the other regions? Korea should have more spots and points because it's harder, and difficult achievements should be rewarded proportionally.

people are funny aren't they? only because mc decided to go to europe and participate in WCS EU he is no more one of the best. meanwhile they forget that before he changed his wcs region he reached the ro8 of code s. having entered seven tournaments in 2014 besides WCS he earned three second place finishes and two top eight finishes. beating people in his way like TY, classic, bomber, hyun etc.

If you can make a plausible case for how MC is one of the best players in the world, as in top 15-ish, I'm more than willing to listen.

The closest thing that comes to memory is MC vs Thorzain back in TSL 3 where I think MC was starting 1-1 while Thorzain's 3-3 was on the way but I might be remembering incorrectly since it was so long ago.

found the vod. MC starts +1 attack while thorzain has 3-3 researching but the game goes on long enough that MC actually gets a lot of upgrades researched

It was extremely unpersuasive. When he enters a tournament with guys like Maru/SK/Zest, and goes deep, I'll take your point.

unfortunately such a tournament does not exist, so neither can i prove my point with such a tournament nor can you, therefore i decided to rely on numbers and facts about mc. not speculations on how he would do in a tournament like this.

Apparently the GSL does not exist.

i didn't know mc was participating in the gsl. oh he isn't thus a tournament with mc/maru/zest/sk does not exist. i don't know why you are acting that way
