This year, Battle Grounds North America, Battle Grounds Global, and Battle Grounds Online will send their respective victors to march on Washington in the hopes of usurping the throne.
Here in The Battle Grounds Online 1 player will win a direct seed into the Washington DC finals!
There are 4 total Online Qualifier cups you can sign up for. The following restrictions apply:
Qualifier Cup Restrictions
- You can be from anywhere in the world! (Exuding Quebec, sorry :-( )
- You must be 18 years of age when the cup begins.
- You must have achieved Diamond league or higher in the Starcraft 2 Ladder
- Cup is limited to 512 people, single elimination.
- You must play on the valid battle.net account attached to your ESL profile
- 1st place finisher qualifies for Battle Grounds Online Finals happening August 18th

Qualifier Dates - Brackets - Sign Ups
Qualifier 1: Thursday August 14th at 2:00 pm EDT / 11 am PDT - Sign Up Brackets
Qualifier 2: Friday August 15th at 2:00 pm EDT / 11:00 am PDT - Sign Up Brackets
Qualifier 3: Saturday August 16th at 2:00 pm EDT / 11:00 am PDT - Sign Up Brackets
Qualifier 4: Sunday August 17th at 2:00 pm EDT / 11:00 am PDT - Sign Up Brackets
Qualifier FAQ
- You MUST check-in to recieve a spot in the qualifier. Check-ins opens 1 hour before the cup starts.
Next check-in August 15th 1:00 pm EDT / 10:0 am PDT: DC Qualifier Cup 1: www.nationalesl.com/us/redbull/sc2/dc_qualifier4/checkin
- Immediately after checking in, sign into battle.net and join channel Redbull1 (or Redbull2, Redbull3, etc if the previous channel is full)
- All replays must be uploaded. This is how the system advances you in the brackets. Your battle.net account MUST match the one on your ESL profile!
- Replays are uploaded by clicking the "VS" on your match in the brackets.

Map Selection Rules:

In a Best of 3, a veto (removal and pick) system is used. The high seeded player(seeds can be found at round 1 on the grid page) decides who starts veto. Whoever starts veto also gets first map pick. Players take it in turn removing maps until only 3 maps remain in a best of 3. Whoever veto'ed first also picks first map. Second map is chosen by player who veto'd second. Maps are played in order they are picked. The remaining map is played last.

that's for the winner of RBBG Online
The approximate retail value of the Grand Final Prize is $3,000 USD/$3,267 CAD based on a Toronto departure example.
but, there's the plane ticket and hotel, so what's the prize pool of the tournament? or is there none and it's barely a big qualifier?
what about the qualifiers, is it the "usual" $200/$100/$50/$50 ?
and what's the format of the finals? couldn't see anything in the rules

I wonder if KT even knows this qualifier is going on, they always signed up for the iem qualifiers but never tried red bull qualifiers.its always the same exact people trying to qualify for red bull.

Correct! This is essentially an online play-in for the Battle Grounds Grand Finals in DC.
