By now you know that Battle Grounds NYC 2013 Champion and runner-up, PartinG and sOs, have already secured two of the eight spots to this year’s Grand Finals in Washington, DC. Two more competitors will be determined at the stops in Atlanta and Detroit, which still leaves four seats open for the Grand Finals on September 20-21. That’s where you come in.
This year, Battle Grounds North America, Battle Grounds Global, and Battle Grounds Online will send their respective victors to march on Washington in the hopes of usurping the throne. Registration for the North America event, which is set to take place Sunday at 11 a.m. PT, is now open. All players must be at least Diamond 1v1 rank on the StarCraft II Battle.net service.

Each region-locked bracket has room for 512 players to register, and those who are eligible must be able to provide proof of their residency. All sets, Qualifier or Qualifier Final, are best of three and single elimination.

North America Online Qualifiers
Broadcast live from the Red Bull eSports Studio in Santa Monica, the N.A. qualifiers will be a series of tournament days only open to North American competitors. One winner will ultimately emerge from the finals, guaranteeing them a shot at the Grand Finals.

Global Online Qualifiers
This competition is open to anyone globally. When all is said and done, six top players from around the world will square off in a unique, 3-day tournament, competing for a $10k prize purse and a spot at the Battle Grounds Final in Washington, D.C. later this year.

A free-for-all open to any and all regions. Four winners from the multiple days of match play will meet to decide, once and for all, which of them earns a place at the Grand Finals.
