Id rather just see some diversity, plus he is already rich in dollars and WCS points.
He's a bit like Stardust, extremely good at standard games when he needs to, but not reluctant to play all-ins with pristine micro and a tendency to abuse the strengths of his race. But we can't deny him awesome skill, big stamina to play so much, a real hunger to win and an elusive, unfathomable gift for it. Besides, the guy is such a big personnality in E-sports I think I could not ever say I'm fed up with him.

geez what is up with the sudden MC hate it was like this last redbull quali too, what's the point of even complaining that your sick of him? It's not like the bracket was made for you specifically, he's the most consistent(as in he never really fell off not that his skill didn't go up and down like a roller coaster) player throughout all of sc2 and he deserves our respect.

Are we talking about the same game? Because if you were talking about Curious he was miles away from that kind of tech, and didn't have the economy to support it. If not just disregard this statement.

It's not about respect, it's not even hate. A lot of people are just bored of seeing the same players invited to tournaments. Is it a bad thing that people want to see other or less well known players playing?

I know, but people are talking about in general, not just this qualifier.

Damn MKP got #rekt in that first game. Hope he's gonna be able to pull something off in the second one !

(also note you never hear someone say this about hyun or taeja who enter just as many tournament, Hyun arguably more) People say that all the time about HyuN and TaeJa.
i haven't seen it, when it comes to Mc you also have to realise he has a reputation for being available and willing to go to these tournaments he rarely runs into problems getting and usually gives a decent showing, AKA he's the perfect fallback guy you invite him you know for certain that he'll atleast consider the offer and is likely to accept, he's also just plain more approachable then the kespa iron curtain.

Sorry for shaking the MC hornets nest didn't mean for the drama.
That being said I hope Bbyong pulls through!

Yeah I don't know why people are complaining here when it's an open qualifier that MC is doing well in because he's one of the best players in the world. Complain next time he gets a free invite to a tournament instead.

Well that makes sense except for the part where these qualifiers are not invite tournaments so it doesn't make sense to talk about that here.
Edit: damnit. Guess it's been said.

Not at all. I guess some people just have different opinions on this matter ; I personally love to see the best players doing their job. You deserve exposure. If Journey for instance had beaten MC, maybe he'd be on main stream, alas for him he didn't.

You're right! I'd love to see some Grand Slams with new and fresh players instead of them always inviting those Federer and Nadal guys.
Also, this is an open tournament, you're really picking the wrong place to complain about this.

As I've said, people were complaining about him being invited to lots of tournaments. Not him competing in open qualifiers.

I disagree. He's definitely not tier 1 anymore, but he's not only an entertainer.
