Whining about Protoss or balance will be more harshly moderated from page 90 onwards. Before making comments on race picking, refer to MLG's rules |

Well Leenock is out so won't really follow it anymore. But I guess I hope for DRG or Life to make it to the finals vs Polt. well tbh and without the intention of bashing an invidiual but i would prefer HuK vs SeleCT just out of nostalgic feelings over pucK vs Illusion. so my solution: stream every Openbracket match, fill in with 2010-MLG Classics, and if MLG has some time they could have given us some verbal updates about the Groupstage. Fixed MLG. Np Sundance.

We don't got to see ANY of the Open Bracket matches? Why is that? Why did we need to watch puck vs Illusion when we had something like Harstem vs JD going on :/ Very disappointed in this MLG. What are you saying, you'd rather watch JD/Bomber/Life/Hyun/Seed etc, over 3 years old games when no one had a clue about how to play or mid tier foreigners? What an odd preference.

its a very poorly streamed tournament. the format is also weird. TLO Agrees, check reddit .
you cant follow this tournament from the EU because there are no VOD's. next to that there are 2 streams, and mlg is broadcasting old games? wtf, if i wanted to see that ill check youtube or something. and this is when there are absolutely great matches going on..?!
mlg clearly doesnt understand that the live viewer number will go up when u get a good vod section. i can only check the scores now but i cant follow the tournament. missed opportunities. get ur shit right mlg.

woooo, Keen made it. gogo, win this whole thing

Glad to see HuK and Scarlett doing well, compared to the rest of the foreigner scene. Two Canadians carrying the foreigner flag this tournament. I can't see them beating HyuN or Life though, but best of luck!

I was also pretty disappointed in the quality of the broadcasting. The video quality isn't really great with 1080 looking more like a mobile version on twitch than HD. Games seem to be played as a side event to everything else going on at mlg. Also the casting is hardily the quality that they are used to bringing to events.
LOVE that MLG is back with sc2 and hope they keep making these. I will continue to watch and support the event online but I hope they step up their production.

this actually looks like a ZVZ grand finals -_-

seems all the MLG effort to seed foreigners doesnt really make a huge effect i'm gonna cite this tournament next time people complain about wanting more foreign seeding in anything
either full region lock (nobody will watch) or equal seeding, inbetween stuff makes no sense

The way WCS divides up the groups into couple all foreigner groups and several with only 1 Korean are the seeding I think they want.

Either shit or get off the pot imo, either go full region lock and see if it works(I suspect it might work better than many seem to think), or just do it like Dreamhack or ESL.
We just watched a really convoluted and quite unfair format(or didn't watch, in the case of the open bracket), and we still ended up with Koreans and two of the only foreigners who have anything resembling consistent success against Koreans, as per usual.

Idiotic, imbalanced format, terrible stream coverage, at best mediocre casting and production quality. If MLG had a lackluster reputation before this tournament, it's going straight downhill from here.

Man, Scarlett, Life, DRG, and Seed in LR3... that's brutal. Predicting DRG to make it out over Life. Also Hyun > Stardust.
Polt seems to have the best chance of winning this tournament, but don't count out DRG.

seems all the MLG effort to seed foreigners doesnt really make a huge effect I just woke up and saw the brackets, and at the end nothing surprises me at all. I'm actually surprised HuK is up there, but Scarlett's at least legit in my eyes now.
But you know what she works her ass off, evidenced enough by the fact she is willing to travel to Korea and EU and practice with the top end (aside from her own team). Tell me any other foreigner at this moment who is willing to do the same and expect results. Actually that is why I'm surprised State didn't go further since he is one of those who dedicated himself
Again really was anyone expecting the brackets to look different? Were they expecting members of ROOT to tear it up?

Vods anywhere? No I didn't think so. I'll go back to forgetting this garbage is on.

I don't see why. An mlg tourney vs Dreamhack is like a scooter vs a ferrari. It's great they're injecting money etc but why bother if the end product is trash and thought up by a moron. Do we have to force fake smiles that mlg is back whilst they serve us this?

audience may've been used lately to the high standards production of ESL and Take etc, and have forgotten that MLG's always been like this well yeah, times are changing, quality is getting better, MLG step up your game.

This is very true, the results speak for themselves. It really just shows that in order to defeat the Koreans it takes a lot of consistency, which only the rare few have.
And State is slowly but surely getting there, he has improved so much and so quick in the last months and it's a matter of time until consistent results will show.
