Don't see how losing to Sarovati 0-2 is "much of an improvement." For someone who has lived in Korea for half a year he sure didn't do accomplish much this MLG.

Day9 might not play as much anymore since he is working on his own game, but due to doing daylies he is still up to date on the meta. Nobody knows what Axeltoss is really doing, but not every caster has to do analysis. I think the casters are really fucking great at this MLG to be honest .

The difference in casting standard between say Polt vs Stardust and Hyun vs Bomber last night was appalling. Sure, not everyone needs to be an analytical caster. Pair them up appropriately then, one analytical and one play by play is a tried and true combination, not sure why some events (not all mind you) keep randomly pairing casters. 2 streams, and some of the casters were also players

It's great they're injecting money etc but why bother if the end product is trash and thought up by a moron. Do we have to force fake smiles that mlg is back whilst they serve us this? thanks for your valuable contribution. I get that you like dreamhack more, but that doesn't make this trash or garbage. You can just leave and you won't be missed here.

Either shit or get off the pot imo, either go full region lock and see if it works(I suspect it might work better than many seem to think), or just do it like Dreamhack or ESL. We just watched a really convoluted and quite unfair format(or didn't watch, in the case of the open bracket), and we still ended up with Koreans and two of the only foreigners who have anything resembling consistent success against Koreans, as per usual. I think region locking in NA is a dead idea. The numbers just aren't there according to TB, and thats IF they show up to play.

We don't got to see ANY of the Open Bracket matches? Why is that? Why did we need to watch puck vs Illusion when we had something like Harstem vs JD going on :/ Very disappointed in this MLG. peasant bracket is just there to protect the foreigners that everyone wants to watch.

We don't know before we try though, I mean really try, at least once. I strongly suspect the Korean flood into WCS NA combined with the inevitable deflation of the unsustainable SC2 bubble may have caused irreparable damage to the scene however, so maybe not. The consistent lack of professionalism and drama whoring on the part of many players is not helping generate any credibility either. I just want MLG to make it its mind, either it's an NA tournament or it's and international one. Making a tournament that is borderline rigged the favour hometown heroes is just the worst of both worlds.

I'm actually surprised HuK is up there, but Scarlett's at least legit in my eyes now. But you know what she works her ass off, evidenced enough by the fact she is willing to travel to Korea and EU and practice with the top end (aside from her own team). Tell me any other foreigner at this moment who is willing to do the same and expect results. Actually that is why I'm surprised State didn't go further since he is one of those who dedicated himself Again really was anyone expecting the brackets to look different? Were they expecting members of ROOT to tear it up? i think you missunderstood. i dont think anyone in this thread would say that scarlett isnt legit and deserves where she is. point is, i dont think she needs a MLG rigged bracket to end up where she is

Making a tournament that is borderline rigged the favour hometown heroes is just the worst of both worlds. We have tried on multiple occasions. Two Shoutcrafts (to which TB admitted that NA is a lost cause), MLG NA only events (to try out MLG TV than to promote the NA scene) and the 2012 WCS system. Even Blizzard foresaw the problems of viewership in a region locked NA and decided against it. What more proof do you want?
