They were just the single elim brackets. Last time he was in Code A was in Season 2 2012 where he got 2-0d in the first round by IM.Happy. Then he lost 0-2 in GSL July Code A to CheckPrime

I figured that would be the case. A while ago I thought I had heard he was in talks with a couple teams but that mustn't have been the case or they fell through or something. Still, he definitely needs a team. He's so good.

But there is a whole crew behind O'GamingTV which is favored to host the French broadcast because it's more friendly, there are huge sofas, beers... And with Twitch they can't afford this type of show, they want to produce a show with a great quality not a cast on a room with only two casters.

In Summary, this is what happened in g3:
TY now scared shitless of banshees and goes raven, 8marines and viking and stays in base.
TY scared of marine medivac mine harass. Builds cc later and on high ground.
Suno's mine somehow killed 2 marines and a hellion and spotted a move out and forced a scan.
TY moved out to attack but Suno was in perfect positions with tanks and vikings and raven and did a counter drop.
Both do some crazy harass mid game.
Suno decide it is time to do a triple pronged attack. Medivac drop in main t kills 3 tanks, triple auto turret drop in nat, bunkers sieged on low ground and defense hellions in nat.

they were even in supply at one point but then TY skyrocketed right before the third. I think he just macro'd much harder than Choya did. Also, earlier cc, more rax, more units etc... overclassed for sure.

I hope people realize how well Tasteless is casting. Like, as a viewer who only likes a certain few casters (most of whom are analytical), he is sounding really good.
A lot of casters are like diamond or masters or whatever, and they try to introduce and explain concepts that they don't fully understand or are their level. Tasteless isn't trying to do that though, he's just talking about likely possibilities and scenarios and explaining them. As a top masters player it is really nice to hear.
Also Wolf is definitely improving.

As a fan of Tasteless, I think he's doing a pretty terrible job today. Really out of his depth in the TvT and making a lot of outlandish remarks like "TY got outclassted." The analysis from these guys is all surface, when we get any at all.

It was pretty good, even if super messy. By the time he was losing 20+ mutas or whatever he had slaughtered 50 scvs, had a bigger land army, more creep spread and more drones. No matter the losses, he always makes up for it in damage taken from the Terran.

Its kind of like this. TRUE committs way further with his mutas than say DRG. But because hes pushing so far, he gets more from it. More dead scvs, stray marines, stray tanks, forces Terran to completely focus on trapping the mutas. Yea he loses some mutas to rallies, some to drops, but the pure amount of devastation he wrecks on the Terran while he is getting larvae injects and creep spread is pretty amazing.

Mines and Tanks for Terran. Maybe Thors to soak up hits, but a smart Zerg knows to micro the Banes away from the Thors whenever possible.

As terran you add thors into your composition along with the masses of mines you should already be making, alternatively you go marine tank with thors later on.
Mines? Seriously? Zergs learned just to ignore them when swarming lings and banes into your army.
They will probably hurt more T army then Z because of friendly fire.

You can still see the mines without an overseer, you just can't target them. True spend A LOT of attention on his mutalisk, look how he got out of those traps by TY.

I don't think that had anything to do with superior mechanics to be honest. True showed some very sloppy moves in both games. I missed 2/3 games against Supernova but his ling-muta counter attack was also just a waste of units when SuNo was doing his mech timing push. So his mechanics are not actually the best. He won because he basically plays ling-bane-muta with almost no lings. So basically mass bane-muta.
And that beats bio+mine, bio+hellbat+thor and bio+tanks. On top of that add the superior mobility and regen of the Hots mutas (which makes it even easier to harass a bio+tank player than in WoL). TY could have added thors in as well but if he is doing both tanks and thors + bio, why just not go mech instead of that crappy hybrid style? He can save the money he is spending on bio upgrades and barracks and go for a straight up mech composition instead, hit a nice timing and roll over True.
Just like SuperNova did.

TY did deal poorly with the mutalisk, wasn't prepared for the 2 base mutalisk transition.
TY did make mistakes, and True did not and went for a really powerful attack when TY was low on AoE against the Tanks and had his forth denied and damaged multiple times. Flash and TY lost because their opposition was stronger. Because they made obvious mistakes. Stop complaining. Makes you sound stupid.

Actually I'd argue TY dealt with the 2 base mutas excellently, he didn't take much damage and scored several kills on the mutas. It went down hill in the mid game though, especially when he failed to scout and punish the 4th of True. Also TY made one huge mistake, he started 2/2 super, you're supposed to start your 3/3 at like 14 or 15 mins, TY started his 2/2 at around 16.

Might be amiss in my memory, I don't find True was behind as much as Wolf and Tasteless thought.

Maybe we have to accept that some players surpass others in well-prepared bo1 scenarios, only to get walked over by the same people in a bo3+ format?

I dont want to get into a balance discussion - but you need to point out what mistakes TY did similar to True loosing like ten mutas (like 1000/1000 resources) that justifies the small errors in TYs play. I dont think TY played nowhere near perfect, but True made some really big blunders that costed him (from a Terrans point of view infinitive resources) and in the end it seemed to make no difference at all.
Personally I feel the Muta-Bling-composition is reaching BL-Infestor level where everyone points out all mistakes of the Terran players. Truth is, the maps are getting so extremly big that it is incredible hard for a Bio-playing Terran to ever get far enough out on creep to seriously hurt a Zerg to do damage without being counter-harassed to death. As of now, we still have not seen a really good answer to this. Perhaps Fantasy hybrid unit comp vs Life is an execption.
Personally I feel Terrans, at the highest level, needs to either play mech or they wont stand a fighting chance against the best Zerg players in the world. That or find something different in the bio-style they can work on. Flash got masscred yesterday, TY was not even close today. And these are two of the best perfoming Terrans in PL. Add do that the fact that we might end up with 4 Terrans in GSL for another season (atleast that is +1) either Terrans are playing extremly bad or they need to find new solutions or their race just aint good enought to fight at the highest level.

The big Muta catch on marines he only lost like 6, it was not as bad as it seemed.
A big part of it is that TY didn't use his better upgrade potential, failed to scout his opponents bases and fell behind on economy. He managed to get half his army stuck and lost 5 tanks and a thor far from efficiently. Those are way more costly mistakes than losing some mutalisk.
Bio Terran vs Zerg might be on the weak side, but TY just lost because he played worse.

If we cannot count Flash in as contender for Code S - how many Terrans do we have left then to actually consider to be solid Code S-players?
Like, how many good Korean Terrans can we actually claim is straight up better than Flash?
If the logic is: Flash is not good enough for Code S. Then anyone rated below him should be good enough for Code S either.
The stable Code S-players feels like.. TY (who apparently is not), Bbyong, Maru and Innovation. Supernova made it this season, but I would not count on him being there season to season anymore.

Flash not Code S caliber? That's a joke if I ever heard one.
Last season the big excuse for Terrans underperforming was "all the top tier Terrans like Taeja/Bomber/MMA/Polt are abroad, it's no wonder Korean leftover Terrans can't get into Code S!" But the reality is, those Terrans who are abroad lose to everyone. MC, Alicia, Stardust, San, Oz, Hyun, Revival, Welmu, Vortix, JYP, Patience, Hero can all consistently kill Korean Terrans. Put all those players back into the GSL system? Not a single Terran is a safe bet to get through. Not one.

Flash could compete in Code S imo, but a lot of other players could as well.
Of the top of my head Terrans that are around Flash's level (or better):
Maru, Bbyong, INnoVation, Taeja, Polt, Bomber, Ty, MarineKing, Fantasy, Supernova, Reality. Maybe Jjakji.
The 42-45% Code A/S statistics in TvZ do bother me, but I find it hard to find real imbalance in the matchup. Especially since Proleague stats were 67% for both of the last seasons and is currently at 60%. Blame the format all you want, but at the end of the day it's still Flash and Ty wrecking the same or better(!) Zergs that they lost to in Code A.

The 42-45% Code A/S statistics in TvZ do bother me, but I find it hard to find real imbalance in the matchup. Especially since Proleague stats were 67% for both of the last seasons and is currently at 60%. Blame the format all you want, but at the end of the day it's still Flash and Ty wrecking the same or better(!) Zergs that they lost to in Code A. GTFO MKP, Fantasy, Reality and Jjakji are not Flash level. Flash and TY are top 5 Korean T's. The others aren't around the same level unless you'd consider Stork/Yonghwa as around Classic/Parting level.
While being 1 game out of Code S several times isn't terrible it's less than we'd expect from their proleague results. If the format was more preparation reliant rather than these group formats with 3 potential opponents and a lot of different maps. Having set maps and opponents for group play (like the old OSL format) would probably see the proleague titans do a lot better.

Jesus, say Flash is not Code S level and all of a sudden the world explodes. Sorry guys, he's not invincible anymore. He's borderline Code S/Code A. Last week, he made some inexcusable mistakes - he makes really bad mistakes more often. His play is far from flawless.
Terrans I would put above him;

At least same level, probably higher;

Around the same level;

I'm probably missing some and this list is obviously personal, but seriously, you simply CANNOT argue Flash is 'up there' with the best. He just is not.(yet?) His preparation from the BO1 is excellent, but I think that is partially because KT is still supporting him as their ubersuperace and as such, he gets more resources to work with than most players in Proleague.

You do realize saying someone is Code S level isn't the same as saying someone is invincible right. I mean, did you watch the recent Code S finals and how much of a throw like 3 (arguably 4-5) out of 7 matches were? The Code S finalists played really badly and made really stupid mistakes in some games. And I'm saying this despite the fact that a KT player won.

Code S finals had understandable mistakes, same as mistakes being made by people who don't qualify for Code S.
People are pissed because you turn "not the best terran around" into "not fit to qualify for Code S". People just want to see TY/Flash in Code S so they see more of them in Bo3+ environment. I don't see anybody saying Flash is the best in any thread any more.

I was actually surprised at how his TvZ was. He never split once against True, only picked up from the engagements I saw(mostly 2nd game). Considering someone of his level, splitting should be a piece of cake and something I think most terrans should have down well with practice. True didn't even play particularly well. His muta harass was great but then he donated so many mutas at one point and start making a lot of mistakes. Disappointing for TY :/

In s1 2013, Flash got knocked out of the group of death by Innovation in in RO16. In s2, he got knocked out of the group of death with Bomber, Innovation, and Bbyong (who is nowhere near as good as Flash, but you seem to think he is, so this should count) in... RO16. In s3, he got knocked out of the group of death with Maru and Parting... in RO16.
Since then, he and Innovation, both renowned macro players, both dropped out of Code A in s1 2014 against an onslaught of cheesy Protoss in an era of Protoss dominance. S2 saw Innovation scrape his way back tooth and nail while Flash didn't manage to do it. This isn't a coincidence. These guys need a stable meta game to excel. That doesn't make them anything below the best of the best of the best. I'll put Maru above them in skill, but even him not without reservation, because he sacrifices a little of their macro domination for crazy versatility.
You're defining 'Code S player' by results, but the results are skewed by balance and meta. Ask yourself this, when Terran is strong enough to field upwards of 10 players in Code S again, do you expect Flash to be among those 10+ players? If the answer is 'obviously yes,' -- which I think it is -- then he's a Code S level player.
And I'm not a Flash fanboy. I never followed BW and thus have zero expectations of the guy in SC2.
