Acer TeamStory Cup Season 3 powered by Intel will go on to a 3rd Season! Due to high demand, we decided to expand this season to twelve teams, meaning a total of four qualification slots. As we doubled the qualification slots, we have in turn expanded the number of teams in this qualifier as well. Sixteen teams will play this qualifier across two days. The first round and the first half of the second round will be played on Monday, while the remaining two games will be played on Tuesday. This extended broadcast schedule will allow more games to be shown.
Key facts:
Day 1: Monday, 24th March 13:00 CET (Round 1 and 2 games of Round 2)
Day 2: Tuesday, 25th of March 11:00 CET (Remaining games of Round 2)
Teams: 16

Wow, that is a substantial line up. This is looking like a fairly sizable undertaking. Cool beans, having a solid teamleague in EU is quite important imo.

I have to wonder what Empire will do though, they have 2 players+ academy. I would be shocked if they wouldnt team up with another team for ATC (Fnatic maybe, because they are surprisingly absent from the qualifier?) I doubt they'd play with their academy + Kas and Happy alone.
Also for anyone wondering dignitas-HKA is dignitas +  Sen.

Thats really cool. Im positively suprised that the taiwanese teams are interested, they both have very good lineups. Check, daisy and san made it to the playoffs with western wolves last season. And then im sad that they have to eliminate each other in the first round. Some teams really have bad grid luck...
Only root or EG, myi or xmg, wayi spider or yoe flash wolves.. I want all of them! T.t.

I dislike when you have multiple qualifications without double elimination. Single elimination works fine when you have one single winner. However, with this format you're saying "one of group [a:d]" qualifies. Instead of getting the top 4 teams you simply get the best from each group and unless some seeding metric was used it's possible that the top 4 teams were in a single group...
E: that worst case scenario aside... ATC3 looks to be AWESOME!

well i think its a time restriction. You have a lot of teams from different time zones and its already spanning over two days as it is. With double elimination you'd probably need 4 days.
