I don't think anything has been said but from herO's reaction i suppose he's getting some of that money..he was smiling and all.
Also, how many viewers did the final peek at?

SOSsick!
Just win baby! Just win!
Amazing mental breakdown, what a competitor.

huh, guess this further cements my thoughts on how sOs should have won toss of 2013.
All this ruckus about Dear and look at him now.

All this ruckus about Dear and look at him now. Funny thing about the "toss of 2013" award it generally doesn't account for form in 2014

TL awards mean less than Oscars, or Razzies.

worst tournament ever. $100k to winner and nothing to everyone else is just ridiculous, one of the few things that actually hurts SC2.

Wait what? This is 2014, not 2013.

I'd be extremely surprised if there wasn't a split. Splits happen very often even when it's just top-heavy, not to mention winner takes all.

I just remembered SoS was actually invited to this tournament. Wonder if he will get another invitation next year lol.

You know that Blizzcon was in 2013, right?

How many viewers did the sc2 finals get?

I know, I'm just pointing out that I thought he was better even in 2013 and as time has gone on his results further corroborate my feelings from back then.

That's just about the worst thing one could possibly do for the longevity of the esport. It would have been far better with everyone getting a fair chunk and the winner only like 20k.
Personally, I've always split the pot in the finals if there's been an opportunity and the difference between the first and second place is significant, otherwise there's way too much pressure to be able to play decently. welcome to the party?

Woohoo! My man, sOs taking home the money. (At least most of it.) Good on him.
I didn't watch the finals and didn't expect good games: 100k on the line and PvP is a bad mix. I hope IEM do not do that again. But, I am stoked there were such good games in the rest of the tournament and that smart man, sOs, took it out.

sOs is probably one of the best, if not the best mind-game masters in Starcraft 2 right now. He uses his unpredictable play to confuse the world's best players, and backs it up with strong fundamentals. Anyone who questions that needs to just look at this guy's paycheck.

What do you mean? Hero got 20k this season, Polt got 4k, the only one who got shafted I guess is Taeja since he was an invite. Sure it's a shame that the finals was so lackluster but the prizedistribution was one of the things that had the potential to make it special instead of just another 50/25/12.5... event.

They lost all credibility when MC didn't win best ceremonies imo.
