On a more positive note... IEM have done a wonderful job yet again and we better hope upon hope that they keep running events like these, as they are up there with the absolute best that Dreamhack and Blizzard have to offer. We as loyal fans got spoilt by great games this weekend and while a lot people are shitting on the format, I have to believe that the format had something to do with the excitement factor of the games we saw. Congratulations to sOs who kept his cool under the circumstances and a lot of people have a new found love for herO, who brought some huge plays and became a rarity for me, A Protoss player I rooted for! | ||

I've seen "scouted" bunker rushes succeeding because Terran player had a superior micro (Flash, Fanta, FBH, Midas / Nada) and I've seen "unscouted" bunker rushes failing (almost every tier 2 terran against S-Class zerg at some point) | ||

Proxy gates is a bit of a special case since it is far easier to defend when scouted, but that doesn't mean it's skill less. Before I was disgusted by the protoss race, I would do almost nothing but cheese with it, and the micro required while not zerglings vs widowmines level is still probably as high as a bunker rush. Apart from that, back when huk was still really fucking good, there were games where people would in base proxy 2 gate him and he wouldn't notice, and then he'd win anyway. | ||
