From my point of view this was a terran keeping doing the same thing at the exact same place for 20 min. Not exactly what I call exciting but well.

Just sayin' lol maru has done more on prime than he has on jin air He's playing way better than before though. very hard to say, he went to a bunch of semis on prime
He's playing better now, but thats just the natural state of playing more games as time goes on.

So do you think Maru knew about the other base? He seemed to suspect it but never did anything about it.

Agreed.
Never in a million years can I be as good as Maru was tonight. It's truly awe inspiring, and it's why I love watching Starcraft.

And send one or two zealots in ahead of army to draw fire... or maybe a probe, cuase theyre cheap?

Yeah when we first got those 'mix ups' in late 2012 I think it was? Wolfdor, Wolftosis etc etc... all the combos were good.

The best prime terrans always left but they all won their biggest tournaments while on Prime so I guess Maru's only real shot at success is to start playing in foreign ones I'd almost argue Polt winning his tournaments against Stephano was what made his career. winning > $90k at the Super Tournament was a pretty big deal though In terms of prestige though no one really calls polt the super tournament champion anymore, jjakji is still GSL November champion, MVP is still the four time champion etc. Super tournament is kind of forgotten now.
I've only heard I think it was Apollo bringing it up recently (6months) that he won the Super Tournament with best players at the time. Earlier of that at MLGs they mention that he won a GSL and thats enough.

would really like for Dear to use more warp prisms in PvT. It's so good for throwing off the terrans momentum when their production gets halted, even if it's for a small amount of time. Especially that game as Dear just needed a minute or so to gain a foothold in the game.
Also you can use it really well defensively to flank with storms like how Trap and Classic play, works quite well for them :3

and having better practice partners I guess

I feel that Dear was trading quite well against the widow mines. To be honest, big part of the reason why it worked out so well for Maru was that he got the right spawning positions. The rush distance was very small for a 4-player map and it helped Maru to play his aggressive style.

Is there anything from Terran that you actually consider exciting? Apart from maybe seeing their mineral line demolished by 1 oracle or seeing them tap out of a game?

I remember trying to drop all over the place after watching mma vs nestea on metalopolis back in some season of gsl in 2011. I lost every game but holy shit it was fun.

First's build is pretty amazing though, but it was thrown away once Protoss realized they could get away with 0 defense. Double forge Mass blink stalker immortal archon with mass obs. It was a great build.
