My theory is that with SC2 the old BW legends (besides Jaedong) didn't really have as much motivation to try to become a top player again when they had already put so much work into BW. Meanwhile players with little to no results in BW like Bogus, MC, and Mvp saw it as a fresh start and gained motivation when they realized it would be much easier to become a top player, since switching to a new game meant everyone was inexperienced at first.
