Nothing will ever be on the level of the Hyuk STX Cup all kill.

gumiho vs slayers gstl finals on the beach. I know, sc2 but that was at the height of zerg imba and it just didn't matter :D

That gumiho all kill was one of the greatest moments of sc2. Except if you were a Slayers fan :D

Haha yeah, that is actually a worthy contender of a series ^^

But it still doesn't beat the all time failure SKT zerg suddenly going on a 8-0 streak and finishing up by spectacularly whipping the almighty Kal into submission, taking the entire finals by himself.

And if you pardon the derail, I just had to go back and watch some of these games, my GASP when I realized who the second STX player beat by Hyuk that day was........the "up and coming terran", Bogus.........

I always wonder if bogus would have broken out in broodwar someday like he did in sc2. His rise in skill and results were meteoric lol.

No way. LOL

This has been a pretty weird season 1 for SPL. Stork winning games and Jin Air flopping hard.

Grats to KT.

I wonder if he would have hit the heights he hit in sc2, and if he did whether he could hold onto them unlike sc2.

In the VOD they did not seem to be very excited after the win.

I just checked tlpd (i didn't watch BW back then :/) and for me it looks like he didn't really progress that much.
I mean he had his first games in the end of 2008, that makes like 4 years in which he didn't really win anything right?
As i said, only checked the stats here

He was pretty consistently top 5 terran (top 3 at times above light / leta / baby /sea arguably, below flash / fantasy), it's just a case where no terran could ever surpass Flash / Fantasy at the end of BW and before then it was the TBLS and six dragons so Bogus never really got the spotlight.

Being on STX probably wasn't helpful either just because of the fact that towards the end of BW, it was SKT vs. KT repeatedly. :S
