This is going to be great!! Hope I can catch some games tomorrow, and I hope Golden will cast with Khaldor, it was quite fun and good to see Hyun and Golden cast together! And, being Korean programers, they have quite a good insight on the game, which makes up for their not perfect english!
Also I fail to understand people that say that we should not support Hyun... Do you really want Hyun to retire? What would you do if somebody had "stolen" $23k from you? Would you just say it is ok because you have enough to pay next month's rent and food? Or would you do everything in your power to get it back? Simon is gone, and I think that if he is ever found, the community will do everything to make him pay what he owes! In the meantime, can we just enjoy progamers play good starcraft matches??
And also, these are going to be great top level matches! At least Sage, Taeja and Hyun are top level players! Even if it wasn't to support Hyun, I would watch this tournament! So now I have 2 reasons to watch it!

He is asking ppl to donate money to his paypal... why? He cant afford to put food on the table, he is getting kicked out from apartment? Did he spend all his sc2 money already?
I can understand having little event like this to cheer him up and make him know ppl like him and wants him to keep playing. Its nice. But asking for money when he most likely has earned more many in the last two years than most ppl here. Oh well You're not serious are you? 23k is a shit ton of money, that's not something you just blow off as "oh well I have $500 dollars in the bank I can put food on the table." Why is everyone so god damn upset that people want to help someone out? Especially someone like Hyun, who is just a great fucking guy who has given a lot to the sc2 community over the years, and when someone like that has some shitty thing like this happen to him and is thinking about giving up who the fuck cares if people want to give him money or support his tournaments to try and convince him to keep going and to continue on this path? I honestly am having a hard time figuring out what the big fucking deal is and these ignorant fucking comments are really starting to piss me off. If he had 100,000$ in the bank do you really think he would be doing this shit? Common sense these days seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird, jesus christ. Dont be such a drama queen. I think most ppl would be hard pressed to even ask friends for money even if they could barely afford food on the table. Thats why I find this to be strange. Doing it twice even. But maybe he has spent all his money, what do I know. Or maybe its a cutural thing. People can do whatever they want with their money. Asking for support and love and linking to my paypal are two different things. But thats just me.
Or maybe he does it because in esports you don't become extremely rich like you might think. Instead you spend years away from the economical world and then you didn't study or learn a job. You have to make up for this by at least having some cash.

I don't get the idea that donating somehow makes what Simon did ok, maybe I'm not too sure the meaning of subsidizing but it's not like he's going to come back, pay everyone except Hyun and say "but he got donated what I owed him so he shouldnt bitch about it".
That guy is likely gone, and if he does show up he won't pay a dime because he can't.. So what's wrong with donating the money, it's not giving Simon a pass at all.

why is hyun still on quantic?

I'm not too fond of Khaldor casting this. The first tournament was great in part because of Golden and HyuN's casting. Will definitely watch, though...

I honestly don't understand the problem some people seem to have with this second tournament.
Hyun got cheated out of a crap ton of money. His fans and part of the SC2 community wanted to support him. He organized two "tournaments" to play showmatches with progamers he's friends with to give something back and raise awareness. Where's the problem? You get good games, you get a cast and nobody forces you to actually donate anything. If you don't want to help you can still enjoy the matches, so where's the problem?

Exactly, it's free entertainment for whoever wants it, you're not forced to donate anything. Hyuns one of the nicest most energetic guys out there as well. The moneys important and he's owed a ton, but its just as important for Hyun to feel good about the community and game/games he's spent so much time playing for you guys. Bring positivity, even if you're not planning on donating.
