Like, he has no knowledge of the metagame, the overall strategies or the builds or the players' current strengths and shit, but he quickly sees what a player can do in a given position on a given part of the map with a given set of units. I'm willing to cut Tasteless a lot of slack because he really worked hard during the BW days. I'm fine with him growing lazy/tired/complacent, it happens. If he can settle on a "cushy gig", good for him. | ||

Tastosis is still by far the most recognized and popular casting duo in the entire sc2 scene, they are basically synonymous with the GSL brand and they've known the guy for many years and seem to have a good work relationship with him. just because it annoys you and a few people in here that he doesn't know all that much about the metagame and the players anymore doesn't mean he should lose his job. | ||

I wouldnt go as far as firing him straight up, but this is pretty much a full-time job and if I werent to put effort into mine I'd be gone aswell. I just wish he'd actually watch/play games because I like their synergy, but I cant enjoy the blatant misinformation he mostly spurs out | ||

Yeh, he has been poor for quite a long time. It used to really piss me off, and i enjoyed when ogn were casting as well so i could watch something else instead of him asking what artosis favourite flavour of icecream is. But i'm over that now, just gotta accept that's who he is these days, and that's ok, there's plenty of other events and casters out there. It's quite interesting watching artosis commentate with another caster who is very well informed with the scene like Apollo, it's so different. | ||

Just firing him is drastic but they should have a talk with him to lift his game if they haven't already. If a normal employee's work quality dropped off so dramatically the boss would tell them to shape up, and eventually fire them if they didn't. I know a large part of Tasteless' value is his established brand but GOM should at least put some pressure on him to perform. One of the problems with "brand" counting for so much is that talent doesn't get promoted. I would love to see Khaldor cast more, including Code S, and because having Khaldor cast some Code S might scare Tasteless into actually trying. | ||
