Clash of Eastern Europe with the Far East! It's an Acer TeamStory Cup debut for both teams.
Remember that the Qualifiers for Season 1 was the moment where Jim made his first splash in the international scene. Will he face elfi who has almost single-handedly qualified Empire thanks to their pact with ENCE?
Too bad Beasty isn't an equestrian anymore as he has laid Chinas sc2 army under his feet before. But I reckon the remaining boys should have no problem with just one of its teams.
I wouldn't count Empire out. Happy is very strong in TvP while iG's best two players are Protoss. Of course they have other players but Kas and elfi can snipe some guys. However iG has undoubtedly a bigger depth than Empire-Ence.
Jim, MacSed, XY, XiGua are simply too strong for Empire-Ence's roster. I can only really see Elfi taking a map but even then he'll be up against it. It could well be an all-kill but I'm going to predict 5-1.
I think Invictus Gaming could well qualify for the play-offs, theu certainly have the best shot of it out of all the new teams. Not only do they have one really strong player, but they also have strength in depth.

But cheering for iG though :D
Disagree, elfi at his best isn't as good as Jim at his best. Even if elfi goes God-mode Empire-Ence will still be relying on iG being off-form a little.

Ask them directly. Haven't heard a statement from either side.

Probably too many teamleagues, too few Koreans. edit: but in serious note, they are already participating in SC2L and possibly Proleague again?
elfi should have tried another really aggressive opening like he did against Jim, that was his best chance of winning I reckon.
Elfi's aggression was reactive to seeing Jim going 1 gate into nexus/stargate though, which was insanely greedy. Macsed opened much more safely with 3 stalker rush into nexus/robo with sentries to defend, so Elfi played more passively as well.

Yep, but a bit of cheese would have been a better strategy IMHO. MacSed has better macro I think. If elfi cheesed successfully then Empire-Ence would have been in the driving seat.

How many PvP games have you seen by MacSed and elfi?

Well, he did have a mine right there.
Oh yeah good point that totally skipped my mind for some reason.

they were on Star Station TE, and probably a fake one

Zero Kills on that mine.
I know but since the mine is there, it's hard to assume oracle would kill a bunch SCV if it didn't self explode

I dont know if zaelot had storm this time :p but protoss units were hit without any terrans unit close to them

Too far behind, imo. It would've taken him several supply drops to go out of red, only then would he have been able to build workers. Also terrans cannot warp in buildings, so he had to dedicate the few workers he had to building buildings instead of mining. :-(

No supply depot. Maybe?
Why he then had 38 possible supply. He had 2 supply depot and 1 cc.
Ah, yeah right.
In the beginning of the first basetrade Happy had better chances I think. Two OCs and a lot of supply free and a more mobile army. Even after that (after first Nexus snipe), if happy didn't trade the Protoss would have been supply stuck for a while because of all the army supply. He would have to mine a while with his 4 (?) probes until he could afford more Pylons. Happy would have had a better eco if they both started rebuilding.

edit: okay, two. not several.
No. He had 38/35 or am i total blind?
36/35.
Hm, okay then maybe supply drop -> building scv for mining -> building viking -> snipe obs would've been the best decision. Alas, hard to make the right decisions when you're under pressure and without time to think.
before 1st basetrade toss has bank 2k minerals, it was very hard for Happy, but he definitely had very good chances.. usually he wins in such situations, but Macsed was holding really well.

Yeah this might be pretty one sided, Invictus are pretty strong
If empire still had BeastyQT, then they might have won, but it's debatable. BeastyQT won the Beta Cup which was hosted by the Taiwanese Organization, TeSL back in the SC2 HoTS Beta days. He made first prize, killing both MacSed and XiGua. I'm not too sure of Jim's performance, or if he even entered that tournament.
