Thank god! The more terran the better. Jjakji severely outclassing first. I dont know why people kept saying first is better than jjakji. Yeah first had kinda decent results these past few weeks but Jjakji is a gsl champion. His skill is 20 times better than first and he is at least 5 levels above first. Jjakji is such a good player. This reminds me of when people kept counting out mc. Why would you count out a gsl champion?

The difference is people can give you a several series in BW that are hands down one of the best games ever played, despite being cheeses / all-ins.

ForGG vs Kal on Tiamat (and few other Kal vs ForGG ones, cough* scouts )is still one of my favorite game, the difference between one is, ForGG prepared the meticilous rax build with ring of turrets to prevent obs scout and faked standard play from the front.

Which ensued into 5-8min battle between marine/tank and reaver/dragoon.

And in case of current flavor of the month in SC2's TvP is "oh i have a timing" *bunch scv*. Which again is being copied by several other pros.

People are just angry at the fact that the current highest level meta is such unelegant play. Which relies on bunching your workers before you opponent does something. There is no much *essence* there, if you bunch those scv into storms you die if you bunch those scv before storm you get enough meatshield to push through.

solid stuff

But why is this the current meta? It has to do with Protoss players as much as Terran players. Protoss players in the current meta are relying a lot more on the MSC for early defense and dumping their gases into upgrades and both AoEs options. As many have stated, SCVs pulls have existed from 2010. Why is the meta shifting to it now? In WoL, SCV pulls were pretty much denied by just forcefielding and buying time for more colossi to come out. But since protoss no longer need take many sentries to defend that first marine/medivac poke, they simply don't have the sentry count to stale for their AoE. Give First 3-4 more sentries and he holds that easy.

And why do protoss skip sentries. Because if they can get both AoEs out, the gas spent on AoE is more valuable than gas on sentries.

protoss never needed more then 3 sentry in wings . can you please link a game where you saw protoss forcefield a scv pull until he had more " colossus " out ?

Protoss got more than 3 Sentries a lot in WoL. SCV pulls weren't too common so I guess it'd be hard to find a VOD.

The SCV pulls vs P were really common in WoL that's for sure. Well there was a period of time when these pulls were rare but this period was short iirc. I don't think blocking with sentries is THE counter to this, but it is a possibility in some cases. And it was sometimes done by protoss in WoL, when they needed like 15-20sec (with maybe 4-5 sentries).

So now GSL VODs are available too ? I bought a year ticket at GOMTV, not knowing about the new WCS system, nor the fact that streams would be available at a decent quality for free, and now VODs too. It looks more and more like I bought my tickets for not much extra compared to free...

Terrans have a nice choice between dying to deathball, trying to be TaeJa, or scv pull. I guess 3rd choice is best one :D

this sum up exactly what i think. Taeja is the only player i trust to take a macro game from a top GSL protoss player.

SCV pulls are a very good solution vs protoss until a fix and much better against First that admit it was it achilles knee

I totally agree that jjakji deserves to go through, but people were right to believe that First is better than Jjakji. Past results deserve a lot of respect, but you can't deny that recently, and until today, First has shown better results and play.

Flash Interview after Today's GSL: "My heart hurts when I saw Jangbi retired. Actually I also lost interest in SC2 at one point.

A quick translation of Flash Interview after Today's GSL.

Q: You are worrying about WCS points?

Flash: This is the last chance for the WCS points. My priority now is to get more WCS points. I need to overcome the curse of RO16.

Q: Does Jaedong stimulate you?

Flash: Instead of stimulating, I think JD gave me great support. In the situation of lots of retirement, JD is fighting hard on his own. That's wonderful.

Q: How is your streaming?

Flash: I went to vocation for month, and then I played 4-5 days before streaming. My mood is much better after vocation and I can keep going now. Please forgot my performance. I am kinda unfamiliar with that. There won't be that kind of performance anymore.

Q: Some final thought?

Flash: When I was back from Thailand, I have cleaned up my mood. A few months ago, my mind was in a complicated situation. Jangbi and other skillful players' retirement is really a regretful thing. My heart hurts when I saw the news. Actually I also lost interest in SC2 at one point. But I have stabilized my mind now. To fulfill the promise of my fans, I will keep working hard.

4 Protoss
4 Terran
2 Zerg
so far qualified for Ro16, and another Zerg will go through in Group G.
At best, 3 more Terrans can qualify, 4 more Protoss and 4 more Zerg...

I can't believe you guys are giving Tastosis a pass on miscalling First-Hyvaa game 3 and putting all the blame on Legend. Does Artosis not use his own preview computer? Can both of them not see that when Hyvaa gg'd, he had only a 10 supply advantage and (thanks to the new observing interface) was down 20 workers?

The casters aren't slaves to what Legend is showing, they're responsible for understanding what's going on in the game. They completely blew it.

Actually surprised Jjakji didn´t 2:0 Flash. He looked so strong previously and Flash so vulnerable. Poor First qq

EDIT: Group of death coming up and no LR, yet? Hype train gonna crash!
