it's interesting how the way to play TvZ at the moment is much less dropping around but more getting into a position with 2-2 upgrades and lots of Mines and then constant reinforcements and slowly pushing forward.

Drops are not used to pick a Zerg apart anymore but instead used for pulling them out of position to edge a little more forward.

Nathanias is freaking carrying the secondary stream. Always impressed by his play by play commentary!

EDIT: And the games are pretty good too!

It´s really hard to get the time to get infestors out when terran rallies to your base and you need to constantly morph banes to stay alive. Really difficult situation for zerg as you can´t tech or drone.

Then why not get 5-6-7 spines to the most pushable location, in a narrow choke instead of getting 70lings, which get destroyed by mines en masse.

500-700 minerals in spines melts to bio tbh

Like 500-700 minerals to lings also. But if you are plating them in a small choke, combined with mutas you can defend much more easier. I mean terran cant do the tactic, where he moves a small force to the hatchery and force zerg to commit, instead, if a terran wants to attack, he have to commit much more.
Give thanks and praise!

They do help but mm targets them down fast and thats 6-700 minerals and 6-7 drones. Also terran can just switch target or be super greedy while you invest that much in defence. The problem is that terran uses mainly minerals but zerg needs gas to defend. You need to totally destroy the terran army and that usually gets you even as you lose most of your units.
Must say that Nathanias is doing a great job again!!

What? The entire biomine strategy that early in the game is to commit small forces of marines to dance back and forth over mines until a solid connection happens, or until they sniper a hatch. The 500-700 minerals in lings are used to buffer banelings, and 5-6-7 spine crawlers simply can't happen because thats also 5-7 drones, something that zerg's seriously need to hold onto vs a 3+ orbital terran bio mine style.

Yeah, I love Nathanias' casting. He's enthusiastic, he's never short for words and his game knowledge is a lot better than regular play by play casters'
