Why? Why do people think everything should be "punishable"? There would be a problem if, for instance, Terran could punish a fast third while Zerg couldn't. As it stands now, neither side can really punish a fast third, so where's the problem?

No. You can defend. It's extremely forgiving so you fall behind or instantly lose at the first misstep but you can definitely defend it. You think Terrans are stupid and keep playing as a standard something which would lose 100% of the time to that attack? Standard Terran macro builds are forced to take into account the threat of Roach/Baneling busts since they exist; in WoL you played Hellions/Banshees to handle that, in HotS Mines coupled with excellent control allow you to skip the Starport and get earlier third and upgrades.

I do have to say that Maru played really well, but Symbol did really shitty mistakes and slipped up on his macro one too many times.

Symbol didn't really. He didn't even really use his style which could have worked well as we could see in the game on Akilon which he threw away. He cancelled his upgrades in one game to make mutas, then restarted them. He didn't upgrade in one game at all against 2-2.
Please don't tell me that was Symbols a-game ...

On the one hand it's awesome to watch, but on the other it's frustrating knowing that the game is balanced around what THEY are able to do. Go ahead and try macro/microing like Innovation with Bio/Mine vs Zerg on ladder. It's so hard lol. It's not easy but since HotS came out I no longer feel like I just can't win against Zerg anymore because infestors aren't constantly ruining my life. It's a different kind of frustration. Instead of being frustrated AT Infestors, I'm frustrated with myself for not being good enough with my execution to pull off what my mind is planning. Like wishing you were faster than you are and then being sad that you aren't.
Oh, that much I understand but it doesn't frustrate me because I know my speed is something I can always improve by playing more and nailing down that muscle memory.

There were 8 Terrans in the Ro32, 7 in the Ro16 and 4 in the Ro8. It's statistically impossible that they are inferior, when almost no Terran drops out of the tournament if it's not a pure TvT group (4 terrans dropped out so far, 2 of them in a TvT group) Statistically inferior is more than number X in tournament X. You can check winrates for june... and I doubt it will change much for july-_- Aligulac shows terrans are doing obscenely well in proleague and osl lol. Now take a deeper look into who gets most wins for Terran. Especially in TvZ, Flash is on a 10-win-streak and the highest INnovatioN streak is 11. I think nearly 50% of Terrans victories are based off of these two.
If your going to start doing elo based win rates then terran is still doing better then zerg.
