I also think Innovation's tvt will be tested by players like bomber soon as well. Hellbat drops have allowed players with strong mechanics to edge out wins with their overall ease of execution, but that wont be the case anymore.

If he goes up 2-0 but then proceeds to lose 3 games (1 to force tie-breakers, 2 during the tie-breakers) then he's 2-3 and deserves to not pass over people who are either 3-2 or 4-1. It's like saying a bo5 is unfairly lost if one player goes up 2-0 but then loses 2-3. The advantages of this format are more preparation time (like the brackets) and at least you don't have to play the same person twice, which prevents one bad matchup from ruining your entire tournament. Also, we get more games :D cut the more games as they sacrificed the Ro32 for it ^.^ . And I would say if your TvT is bad you have a problem if something like group B is drawn. But it is just one season to judge the system for sc2, so hard to come to a conclusion which system is better from that for that game specifically. But the GSL system is a tough opponent as it seems to fit to sc2 perfectly. We will see its personal preference anyway, but so far all my worries about the OSL came true to some extend. But its not over and maybe I get surprised !

Innovation was a beast in Wol TvT as well (Flash was not) and I don't see Bomber being a problem for him. But the next match isn't important so it will be hard to tell. Bomber might not want to show his best strats.

Yeah, the odds are based on the bets and the amounts betted (This part is also important, it's not about just number of bets, it's also about the amounts the people have bet in total). They change the numbers so they ensure being able to handle transactions fees, taxes, their own profit, etc, regardless of outcome. The house always wins. ;o

Game 3 was a build order loss and Game 2 was a lack of playing against enough cheeses to know to depot around the outside of his base. On July 12 2013 01:12 Fionn wrote: He can beat First or Maru. Flash will still be a top tier player, he just needs to learn what build orders are out there. When that happens nobody will outplay flash ever.

Seriously doubt he's going to put active effort into coming up with ways to deny his team mate from advancing ;;; Not saying he's gonna throw it, but he's probably not gonna do rain specific prep if he's already out.

Is it: 1. Match wins 2. set difference 3. set wins 4. direct duel ? Asking because Liquipedia says First isn't through yet, which would mean it is not like I described and there is some weird tiebreaker way to still prevent him from advancing.

Yeah well he definitely won't put in the extra effort with PL playoffs and all, but he definitely won't give Rain the win if Rain doesn't deserve it.

BO1s similar to up and down will be used.
