Did he have only 22 after the drops started? (You know that "main base massacre" at the beginning.) You dont have to wait until the drops start to build cannons ...

In any case splitting up a Protoss army is kinda bad if your "other clump" consists only of Zealots, Immortals and a few Sentries and you are fighting against a lot of Marines. Melee units have an intrinsic disadvantage against ranged and the synergy between Forcefield and Zealots has always been negative.
Zealots in that army were a waste IMO because they didnt have charge yet, so swapping them out for cannons and keeping the Stalkers with the army is much better ... since Stalkers synergize much better with Forcefield. The only good job a Zealot can do is runbys and harrassment.

Cannons are always the last resort for pros, they are only good in late game or with a huge lead. HerO's lead is not that significant once those stalkers died.

It was a bit.disappointing but im.sure hero will fix these problems as he always has

Hero just went on tilt after getting his Nexus sniped. Double expanding after that was likely a mistake, too. He had to dedicate half his forces to defend the middle between his second and third bases. Fantasy simply just made sure he had more troops against Hero's main than Hero had defending it.
Hero also had his colossus sniped with Fantasy not losing much. All his oracles after that 22-kill one died without doing much damage, either.

LOL. cannons can't fight with your main army, stalkers can. if hero had more observers on the map, he could have positioned his army better. 4-6 cannons is wayyy to big of an investment, when you can just use stalkers, which can be used in the army later. And wtf are you saying that sentries and zealots don't have good synergy????? you forcefield behind the army, and then send your zealots in. they can't kite away because they are forcefielded, and so the have to take that damage or lift with the medivacs. and once you notice (with your observers) that their entire army is about to attack you with no incoming drop, you are free to put your stalkers with your army. and if he decides to drop while attacking, then you can leave your stalkers in your main, because of the supply he has commited in the drop.
EDIT: and if you feel that your right and i'm wrong, please link to vods where a pro protoss massed cannon's on the border of his main in the start of the game,

Agreed. It's a textbook way to catch up when u are behind. Taking a risk. Nalra knows how its done.

I still think Snute can do very well in this setting. So I feel it was a good decision to give him the chance. He beating top notch koreans in other tournaments, he should manage to do it here to soon!

Flash had better marketing despite fantasy being in better form, having better results, and being able to take down flash head to head at the end of bw.

I love Fanta but his hot streak against Flash in the end is kind of tainted by the fact that they were for a long time playing two games at the same time by then.
