That´s a little much, don´t you think? Naniwa is one of the few players I always support and root for when they´re playing but he´s nowhere near the best P in the world not even if he´s in top shape. Just think about Rain, sOs, Parting, Squirtle and so on playing at their best....
He might be the best P in europe but I don´t even know if thats true since his PvP and PvZ vs europeans isn´t that stellar either. Don´t know about his PvT.
Well, still I hope he comes out second

I'd say hes upp there at his peak.. sadly he tilts after one loss more or less. But if he plays his best starcraft he can definitely compete with anyone else playing their best starcraft. I guess this can be said about several players though. But best P outside Korea I think is pretty fair to claim.

yeah my opinion definitely subjective in that sense, If you judge based off results than I am really far off field but from personal opinion of what I observe in his games and correlate with my own experience in playing I see a lot of skill that I would rate very high up in contrast to other top end Protoss, I've always had a huge respect for his style and approach to the game because I feel like he takes the whole timing and all in aspect of Protoss and incorporates it into really clean and refined macro play

I noticed something about the groups, and had to share.

For group stage 1, there were 62 Zergs, 38 Protoss and 27 Terrans, and 1 random entering the tournament.

31 Zergs, 19 Toss, 14 Terrans and no randoms qualified for group stage 2. The group 2 racial distribution figures are half of the group 1 figures, taking into account rounding of odd numbers. The races qualified from their groups in the *exact* proportion to how they showed up. The qualifiers couldn't have been any better balanced.

I'm immediately going to jump to the conclusion, therefore, that Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm is perfectly 100% balanced, at least at the DreamHack open qualifier group stage 1 level. The numbers simply cannot lie! Any balance whine for this tournament is surely the result of a debilitating cognitive disorder, and if you perceive imbalance while watching the stream, you should seek psychiatric attention!

This isn't true. You would be right if all the players were at the same level, instead, in most of the groups 2 of them were almost certain to advance, regardless of the other ones' race.

Looks like they've got the Live Spreadsheet schedule going again:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0AklGLUOqCLs1dGNTSTdrUVRQTGl4MndXSEVwSWNwLWc&toomany=true

So far it doesn't match Apollo's tweet, but I assume they'll keep it updated.

Could also be used as an argument that Dreamhack group stage participants were rigged.
Because pretty much 100% of the favorites to advance, did advance.

Though, cool story bro
