So even the players who won this round probably only gained a hundred bucks and some bragging rights.

Not true because if you win you bracket you get promoted to premier league and that's where the big money is

The point is you could lose at anytime during the bracket and still be in an up and down group with the same chance as anyone else of advancing, whether you lose first round or final round.

Yes that's correct but if you win you bracket you get promoted instantly to premier league if you lose you have to play the up&downs

Not to mention an additional 75 WCS points and $300 in your pocket. Those extra 75 points could be the difference between making the big end of year event or not.

I think you got that wrong.
Points and money are only given after the up/down groups.

Yeah, it clearly shows that Mana should diversify his play a lot. Dont go into same macro openings again and again and it will be good.

According to that if you lose in the RO40, 24 and 16 you go down to the dual tournament group stages. However if you lose in the RO24 you get an aditional 25 points and $100, RO16 another $100 on top, And actually winning earns you $300 and 75 points on top of your Premier league spot.

That doesn't really specify whether your placing is depending on the bracket or your place in the up and down groups, it could be either one.
Of course with 1-8 being bracket winners either way
