But if they lose they end up in the same group stage. (Only 1 out of 5 players 'wins' so to speak and nobody 'loses'.)
So even the players who won this round probably only gained a hundred bucks and some bragging rights.

Not true because if you win you bracket you get promoted to premier league and that's where the big money is

I wouldn't totally agree with that sentiment, since there is money on the line for Challenger league progression. But ultimately you're right, even if people do drop out here they're still relatively 'safe'. Only the very worst will actually get eliminated from Challenger.

I just saw the biggest throw i've seen so far this year.... wth Bling?

Bling didn't throw, he wasn't ahead.

He had more economy, but Kas is terran. The casters just confused everyone by talking complete rubbish abut Blings position relative to Kas.

Just stop....

When you reach the final round, at least you have a better seeding for the group stage so you can avoid the other round of 16 players who barely missed code s.

Not true because if you win you bracket you get promoted to premier league and that's where the big money is

The point is you could lose at anytime during the bracket and still be in an up and down group with the same chance as anyone else of advancing, whether you lose first round or final round.
Edit: besides seeding you don't get much for winning only two rounds, it's all or nothing

Yes that's correct but if you win you bracket you get promoted instantly to premier league if you lose you have to play the up&downs

Not to mention an additional 75 WCS points and $300 in your pocket. Those extra 75 points could be the difference between making the big end of year event or not.

His point is that there is no advantage to win 1 or 2 matches against a player who has won 0 series. And I agree that there should be one.

GSL format is better I think. First round losers are completely eliminated, so every round have a big importance (not being eliminated, or advanced to premier league)

Well Duckdeok didn't last for long. Guess it really hurts when you have to play from KR unlike MC for example.

Did not expect that, I thought the one thing that shuts down DT opening the hardest is an Oracle first stargate build, how is Socke so ahead?
