I'm surprised EG didn't tell Revival to intentionally drop a map against IdrA.
Imagine him taking a map against a Korean, his fan club would explode, Reddit would go nuts, "The Grack is back" "He almost made it out of the group of death", "slaying Koreans left and right", "the great white hope!".
Would have been great publicity for EG.
€: Stupid way to phrase it. I shouldn't say "I'm surprised EG didn't match fix", since I don't think EG would ever do something like that.

What blows my mind is why EG would want somebody like IdrA on their team. Whenever I tune into his stream (which is not a whole lot because his BM is too much sometimes), he is constantly swearing, using very offensive phrases and generally portraying a bad image of himself, his team, and all their sponsors. If I were one of the team's sponsors, I would not like somebody like him being one of the faces of my product in the eSports community.
I just wish IdrA would calm down, enjoy the game and have fun.

But then he wouldn't be IdrA.

Doesnt matter whether Idra lost or not... At least he is so entertaining on stream, bm'ing his opponents and all that rage quit... i enjoy every bit of it, he knows his viewers love it, so keeps on doing it. A win-win situation right? But I hope he doesn win any tournament because I'd rather see hard working players like LiquidHero win

If Idra wins 1 tourney a year--even small ones not necessarily MLGs or Dreamhacks, EG would make SO much money on the fanbase alone.

Thank god that the chance for this is quite low :D.

Seriously speaking tho, if I had money bet on that game I'd be super furious.

Didn't Flash say his coach told him to lose early so he could go sight seeing at MLG? no one made a big deal out of it. This would theoretically be similar: "throw idra a bone"

Because still flash tried his best maybe with little practice into hots and got second place? And i remember that being said into laughs, but i can't be bothered to read it again or look for it on TL.

"제가 생각하기에도 이틀 연습한 것치고 게임이 너무 잘 됐어요. 연습이 너무 부족해서 감독님께서도 일찍 탈락하면 관광이나 하자고 하셨는데 너무 좋은 결과를 낸 거죠. 저와 감독님 모두 결승에 올랐다는 사실에 너무 놀랐어요"
Because I lacked practice time my coach suggested that we go sightseeing if i didnt make it far, but it turned out that i showed great results. Both him (the coach of KT Rolster) and I were extremely surprised.
There isnt any sentence which suggests that the coach told Flash to lose on purpose. I mean how retarded is that? fly all the way to the states and intentionally lose a game so that his coach could go sightseeing? Do people really think KT Rolster management would let that happen? Who translated this by the way?

The exact reason why Idra got released (cited after a post from Reddit, but also I saw it on the TL forum in several places):
He was BM to polt in his WCS match but that wasn't much of an issue for them because he has always been BM to other pros. What happened was that IdrA responded to a post on Team Liquid that was saying that he was a nice guy and IdrA said "nope, you're all a bunch of fucks, it just so happens that I get paid to treat you like it. It's fucking awesome." Note this was a fan defending IdrA that he said this to.
