For those who did, were there any macro game or just some sort of sneaky play/allin from Parting? The allin play was from Life. Game1 was a 1-base allin. Game2 was very aggressive play and he had an advantage. All he needed to do was proceed normally and he should win. Instead, he overplayed his aggressiveness and was punished.

I wish we could have seen Innovation vs Parting though. Maybe on the finals?

I can really only watch GSL and then events like DreamHack now. That's your loss then, you'll miss some exciting games. If Group of Death level is what you require you're going to miss out on a lot of Korean SC2 also.

But you can have many games with low-eco situation where you don't know who the hell got an adavantage and is winning. The first series was for me the best. Flash vs Innovation wasn't that good (the two first games they did too much economic damage, the last the abscence of viking for flash made it kinda painfull, and it wasn't very close). Life vs Innovation wasn't very close or mindblowing (the observer managed to keep track of the drops). Parting vs flash was okayish, because we don't see often late game PvT. And the last serie was a bit too short. All in all it wasn't a bad day of code S, but nowhere near as "the best day of gsl ever" that was hyped. That day http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=272002 was FAR ahead in term of enjoyement to watch, with pretty much every series delivering. Today's GSL was best day ever in terms of starpower in the gruop stage. It has the story of guys picking strongest possible opponents and fighting them afterwords. As far as game quality goes - well, I kinda agree with you. We've seen better, more intense games in the past - possibly in every match-up. This does not change the fact that today's games did earn their recommendations. Add the starpower and storyline behind this very group and you get a truly exceptional GSL experience. At least this is how it works for me.

They just keep repeating "zomg these guys are invincible perfect gosu gods." Maybe funny once but it just got ridiculous to the point where they weren't even breaking down what was going on in the games. In my opinion Axeltoss and Axslav are the best pair of casters. Insightful and funny, they go on diatribes sometimes but then they get right back to giving useful commentary.

Why are you quoting those guys when you're talking about IdrA casting DH on his own? I must admit IdrA is pretty good at casting when it comes to the mainstage so to speak, he's kept the bullshit out of it for the most part. Some would argue he shows no soul though.

Life´s zergling play gave him an advantage in game 2. What went wrong is that he lost 20+ zerglings to some really good forcefields while trying to stall parting's natural expansion even more. Parting pushed a little later with too many forcefields and life couldn't hold it off. If he hadnt lost those zerglings the game woudlve been totally different.
