Supposedly Chinese is also moderately hard its the written language that really kills you though. I read the hardest language is Polish. | ||

I agree with Hindi, it's very isolated and many Hindi speakers also speak English (with English being an official language in India), but Mandarin is actually quite useful, and a lot of South-East Asian countries use it as a second language too, so you'll benefit from it a lot if you ever do business in that area (and it's the fastest developing region of the world too). | ||
