Talent is imo a relatively minor part of how good you are Sc2 compared to traditional sports. Sc2 ability is mostly time spent, enviroment in which you spend your time and as a distant third factor talent.

No... in any sport your "talent", whatever that might be, is the basics or fundamental strength of your gameplay which differentiates you from your competition and gives you an advantage against other opponents. You simply then cultivate it and make it stronger by training and conditioning it.

Lol its a qualifier.

And?

He went from total unknown (3rd in WCS Denmark, yay) to taking down MVPFinale. I call that a cinderella story.

So a cinderella story happens every single Code A qualifier?

No because they are already pro-gamers. Bunny is not. He is a just an amateur kid with apparently an incredible talent. This is how amateurs becomes professional. And its exactly how Blizzard intended WCS for

What are you talking about? He is on that danish team.

Being on a team does not make him professional.

You guys... Hes on a team not a clan and hes playing for money. It doesnt matter if he is doing it full-time or part-time. He is a pro-gamer. Are you guys serious? Whats your definition of a pro-gamer?

Someone who do it full time and can make a living doing it. Bunny most likely go to school or got a job. So no he is not a pro-gamer. He is what we in sport calls an amateur player. And is these talented amateur players WCS was made to promote and it already working. Now he can start making money for himself in code S. Who knows Maybe Bunny decide to go full time professional. So you could say the WCS EU is already a success.

He is still on a respectable team, might get salary and plays for money. If thats your definition of pro-gamer than there are lots of amateurs in Korea and all those Halo/CoD kids should stop calling themselves pro-gamers.

It's hilarious to me how happy people are with a person beating 1 Korean with terrible ping. Slim pickings?

I actually think the 1AM-8AM tournament time (in Korea) probably had more of an effect on the Korean players than ping.

He knew about the circumstances beforehand and should have prepared accordingly by adjusting his time, which I do believe that he have (he is a pro after all and these qualifiers are serious business). If not well then he certainly shouldn't have any problems doing so after two crazy late nights attempting to get through. :D
The ping is out of his hands though, obviously.

I'm really happy all the qualifiers are going at the moment, 2 Milleniums and 2 great Terrans, I am a satisfied man.

Feast is the 4th Millenium to play in a code S, Millenium is one of the most represented teams in the WCS.

I think most of the qualified players will crush some invitees such as Monchi, Titan (Wtf?), Hasuobs, DIMAGA and SortOf.

This will be an interesting championship.

Guys stop the whining, bunny won and had one of the hardest road to code s so far out of all qualifiers.

A lot of people would define it as someone who makes their living (or most of their living) from playing. Someone who plays part-time (i.e. progaming is like a part-time job for them) would probably be called a semi-pro player. University students like Suppy come to mind (semi-pro).

Mvp and MMA are seeded, so they don't have to worry about lag. They'll be playing "offline."

Looks like the qualifiers are a success so far, three Terrans in already. It was looking like T would be the least represented race by a mile but that's quickly changing.

Isn't there going to be a lot of league play in Premier (Code S)? That will be online, but the Round of 8 will be at an offline finals, I thinik.

I thought the entire premier league was offline, but maybe I'm wrong.

Nope, RO32 of premier league will be online.

But anyway Mvp and MMA will have to travel to Europe for the Ro32 or they will lose for sure.

well considering LG-IM's money and Acer being housed in Germany, that shouldn't be much of a problem.
