Didn't Polt beat MKP on his way to winning the Super Tournament?

No MKP lost to MMA in the semis after blowing a 2-0 lead

The whole MMA > Mvp thing is debatable. Even at MMA's height, they tended to trade some series. Mvp won in MLG Anaheim, MLG Korean Qualifier, MMA won at Blizzard Cup, GeForce, GSL October. Then, much later, Mvp won in GSL Season 4. I always saw MMA - Mvp as a rivalry (with MMA having an advantage), not a rule or a slaughter.

Mvp > MarineKing, however, is a slaughter... You could make a strong case for Mvp > Polt too.

I would LOVE to see Scarlett take MVP out, but I don't see it happening.

I think the calls of 4-0 are a little silly, but I think a 4-2 is probably more accurate. I don't see Scarlett winning twice even if she can take out MVP simply because of the potential jitters (she's got considerably better nerves than myself, but I can just imagine the stress that that particular game would put on a person) and with the rest of the IM team I can see them winning pretty decisively.

I don't want your guys to win, TB, but I'm certain they have a chance, and for the sake of competition I really hope you get to have your laugh
My name is Mike, and statistically, yours is not.

The Mvp vs MMA rivalry was very annoying for Mvp fans because MMA would just cheese him every game. I've never seen more proxy buildings in a best of 5/7 than when those guys played.

without last year's GSL results where Mvp won 4-1 it's actually fairly lopsided in MMA's favour, something like 17-10.

Let's go Mvp! Not expecting him to get more than 2 kills at most, but would be nice. That is, of course, assuming he manages to take out Scarlett.

Either way, I can't see LG-IM losing this. At the moment, the only team I feel that can really stand toe to toe with IM is ST. Maybe MVP. But against anyone but those two, LG-IM should be fairly heavy favourites.

Quit being a pussy and just say "patchzerg", don't hide your balance whine.

Well firstly Infestor/Brood Lord was imbalanced. Everyone knows and accepts this.

PatchZerg makes it seem like the only reason she won games and was successful was because of that imbalance, which I don't think. I do think though that she did better because of it, just like Leenock, Stephano, Sniper, Life, Roro, Nerchio and basically every Zerg in the world did, who wouldn't do better when they're playing an imbalanced race?

Who is this "everyone". I'm pretty sure EVERYONE knew the way to beat blord/infestor was too just avoid it..kinda like the toss deathball . Dont make sweeping generalizations on what you perceive or assumed everyone perceived to be imbalanced.

BL/Infestor was pretty imbalanced though.

Also hoping for an Mvp all-kill. But realistically, this is winners format and a bo7 so anything can happen. Axiom-Acer winning isn't too crazy.

Back in late 2011, there was not any Terran other than MMA who could consistently beat Mvp. If it were not for MMA, Mvp would have won GSL October, and likely have won Blizzard Cup. That would have meant that out of the final 4 GSL seasons of 2011, Mvp won 3 of them, and won 5 seasons in 2011.

Then we would really have people calling him the bonjwa of SC2.

He's talking about balance, not about knowing how to beat it. Beating it (which is what you're talking about) is one thing, beating it in a 50-50 manner is another thing. Even Artosis who was preaching about how awesome the Queen/OL patch was when it hit finally admitted it was imbalance when WOL was over and HOTS was coming out.

That said, if you're going to make a semantic argument about generalizations then you're right. There're always outliers and the like.

what?? hell no man that's the beauty of TvT, it could be super aggressive in early game or hella long and epic game. TvT is where better player wins, no bullshit, especially late game.

Yeah probably, Mvp would have crushed both Jjakji and Naniwa. Blizzard Cup is 50/50 because of DRG. Oh and same with MLG Providence, he would of had to face DRG.
